I hate cider. I reminds me of being in my teens and hanging about the park with my mates having our first drink - and cheap cider was the weapon of choice. Inevitably we all ended up being sick at one time or another and so whenever I smell it it takes me back to those days! However, since discovering this delicious stuff I would happily drink this and enjoy it.

I first discovered this in Ikea where I spotted it at the Swedish food section for the bargain price of 97p a can. Thinking I would hate it I bought it anyway as I love pears and thought I'd give it a bash. It tastes and smells nothing like traditional cider. It is much sweeter and smoother in taste and very crisp and refreshing. It actually does not taste like alcohol at all and it is really fruity. It doesn't give you that horrible cider breath either which you will know is fowl if you have a friend who is partial to cider.

This is definately a much more sophisticated cider and is not something I would be embarrassed to drink in a pub for the fear of looking like a chav. More and more pubs seem to be getting this in stock but when you consider how cheap you can get it in Ikea, the pubs don't half overcharge you for it!
