When it comes to beer there's nothing like drinking Kronenbourg 1664, whether is a bottle of bear whilst out in the sun having a picnic or a pint of Kronenbourg in the pub. Drinking 1664, provokes all sorts of passionate thoughts especially for anyone who has seen the commercials. The main reason I like to drink Kronenbourg is not ...  Read the complete review

Many guys will not admit to it but they are often shocked when they see a girl drinking pint after pint of beer; thinking they'd go for flavoured-vodka drinks. Why have us girls got this stereotype? Why do I not fit into this stereotype of drinking flavoured vodka or alco-pops or whatever they are called. Many people drink flavoured drinks for one ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Kronenbourg 1664
by - written on 29/11/08
Rating:

Simply put, Kronenbourg 1664 is a fantastic beer. Although it is quite pricey it is well worth it.

It has a very rich, refreshing taste and is great both ice cold and slightly warmer. This makes it quite unique since many lagers are undrinkable when not ice cold. It even tastes pretty good straight from the can!

This beer is well worth its price and is one of the nicest premium lagers available. Highly recommended.

Kronenbourg 1664, or 'Kronie' as it is often referred to, is not just a beer, it's a premium beer, and that is exactly what it is. Made from mainly hops, water, malt and yeast, 'Kronie' was first developed in, yep you've guessed it, 1664, in a town called Cronenbourg. Yet it was only introduced to the UK in 1952, to mark The Queen's ...  Read the complete review

When you first pop open the top of the bottle you can tell straight away this is premium lager at it's best. You put the bottle to your lips and it's crisp taste hits your lips almost immediately, and you begin to realise why you paid that little bit more. Yes it is slightly more costly than the Carling, Carlsberg and Becks etc, but the taste more ...  Read the complete review

I do enjoy chilling with a pint ill admit that, 1664 has slowly but surely beaten back the competition to be my favourite pint. I had my first frosty pint at my local, with a very little head. It was poured out quite quickly and was sat in front of me looking very clean and tempting, as I tilted the glass towards my lips with all the ...  Read the complete review

Kronenbourg 1664 was named so after the brewery that formed in 1664 in a place called Cronenbourg by the Hatt family. They developed what has now become one of the favoured little tipples of Europe. Kronenbourg 1664 was specially launched in the UK to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation. So, enough with the ...  Read the complete review

KRONENBOURG 1664 ----------------- Wow, a beer review, it has taken me a while to do another one of these, which is quite surprising really seeing as I love the stuff. Over my short time on this earth I have tried many different types of beer, and only three stand at the top of my list of essential drinks. Kronny, ...  Read the complete review

So having finally recovered from my Reading drinking session I sat down last night to my first pint of beer in a week. Not one of my usual drinks, as the Stella and Guinness are both finished for the moment, it had to be a bottle of Kronenbourg 1664. I used to love the stuff before I started on Stella and after I had finished with Fosters, but an ...  Read the complete review

Here I go again giving another op about lager. Well, I’ve got to sample them all so I can give my opinion. So tonight my tipple is Kronenbourg 1664. One of my favourite lagers is Stella Artois, but having sampled Kronenbourg I am now torn between the two. That’s up to now anyway, I still have a lot more beers to try. ...  Read the complete review

Once upon a time I felt that I would never find a beer I truly loved, a beer I could really sink into and enjoy at the end of a stressful day at Uni - or indeed in the middle of the day at Uni - Hell: Kronenbourg 1664 is a beer you could enjoy for breakfast at Uni! Beers such as Carlesburg and Fosters tend to be weak and fizzy on tap ...  Read the complete review

So there I am sitting on a park bench in Paris. Spring is in the air, daffodils have free reign on the horizon and the atmosphere has that lovely warm, friendly feel to it. My inspiration for this opinion came absolutely by chance. One member, whilst writing a comment on one of my previous opinions, accidentally spilt his Kronenbourg all over his keyboard. So thus was the impetus for this opinion. Many may be forgiven for thinking that Kronenbourg was a German beer due to its name. I was one of those until ...  Read the complete review

Who would have thought that something so fine and pure could emanate from France? The country that created Citroen’s can create the finest lager available on planet earth. There's only one thing for it after the sort of evening that I've had. A nice cold, ice cold, wonderfully chilled tinny. Bugger me backwards with a wet lettuce, that's so BLOODY good. This is a good solid beer, somewhat high in alcoholic content but nevertheless very good. This one is quite heavy and filling, having what I would describe as an almost flower-like quality about it. It has a nice satisfying aftertaste, and is quite easy to drink for a beer of this style. This is probably not my favourite beer as I am ...  Read the complete review
