Premium Review Lambrini (: (415 words)
by - written on 15/12/09 (Very useful, 20 readings)
Rating:

Lambrini gets a pretty bad reputation because it is usually the drink of choice for "chavs" and underage drinks. The reason for that is because it is relativley cheap. I'm not a fan of wine at all but this is one I can actually drink without feeling totally sick, and the fact that it's cheap only makes it even better. The alcohol content ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lambrini girls just want to... throw up! (419 words)

Oh dear, I knew there was a reason that I had not bought this since the age of 16. I am a Bacardi/Vodka and Diet Coke kinda girl. I'll have the odd glass of wine if I feel like it, and a gallon or so of mulled wine at Christmas... but other than that, I'm not a big wine drinker, lol. Actually, I'm not really sure why I am ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lambrini: Lovely light drink for when you want something fresh and fru ... (467 words)
by - written on 14/09/09 (Very useful, 97 readings)
Rating:

When I drink, I'm generally a little bit of a tomboy - a pint of real ale or an ice cold lager swigged straight from the can . Occasionally I feel a little more girly, and want something light, fizzy, and fruity to drink . On those occasions, Lambrini is often my drink of choice. Despite looking like a bottle of screw top wine , ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Unfairly criticised wine (338 words)
by - written on 05/09/09 (Very useful, 45 readings)
Rating:

Lambrini has a reputation for being a cheap and nasty wine that's of very low quality and a drink that "chavs" buy in bulk. This reputation isn't particularly earned, though - it's a nice tasting, very cheap alternative if you're on a poundstretcher budget but still fancy getting a bit merry. In supermarkets, they tend to cost around ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lambrini: A great summer drink (222 words)
by - written on 21/06/09 (Very useful, 91 readings)
Rating:

THis is one of those drinks that I always somehow associate with summertime, when I lived with my parents there was usually a bottle open whenever we had a barbeque and it's easy to see why. The drink itself is made using pears, making it a perry rather than the wine that it looks like. This makes the branding on the bottle interesting ...  Read the complete review

Yum! I'm not really a drinker and do not like alcohol that has too strong a taste. Instead I prefer to be able to drink a drink properly with out the need to down it in one go to get rid of the horrible taste! Best of all as well as being nice it is also very very cheap ! It cost's like £1.50 a bottle! Yet you could buy a bottle for £10 ...  Read the complete review

FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS REVIEW I AM REVIEWING CHERRY LAMBRINI I enjoy a glass of wine in the evening now and again but sometimes a normal red or white wine is a bit heavy/ strong or both, so I purchased this a while ago on a friends recomendation. Currently costing £2.15 for 75cl at Tesco (when not on offer) this is a lot ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lambrini: lambrini (153 words)
by - written on 28/12/08 (47 readings)
Rating:

lambrini is one of the cheapest wines that you can buy and you can definately tell. this is a drink that people buy if they only want to get drunk its not a drink that you can sit back and relax with. the cherry lambrini tastes a hell of a lot better than the original one but still its not very nice. its not bad if you are just looking for a cheap ...  Read the complete review

Oooh this is different something that actually tastes nice and is cheap which is a perfect drink for the looming credit crunch!! Definately a girly drink, it is bubbly and goes right to your head - Love it. Ok the bottle isn't that eye catching with just a small label on it and just a usual wine bottle and if you don't know Lambrini ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lambrini: For The Non-Posh Drinkers (214 words)
by - written on 08/05/08 (Useful, 199 readings)

I come from a family which rather enjoys wine-tasting and takes pleasure in slowly savouring expensive wines. This would explain just WHY they despair so much at my love of the cheap and fizzy. But as cheap and fizzy goes, Lambrini is rather nice. It's a very light drink, without the strong taste that sometimes makes me ...  Read the complete review

i like cider. I like wine. I love this. Coincidence? well not really. You see, this is technically a cross between the two. It is a perry, which drinks similarly to a sparkling wine, but is actually a drink made from fermenting pears, in the same way that apples are fermented to make cider. Clever, isn't it? The bottle - It ...  Read the complete review

In my student days i was obliged to regularly scour the shelves of the off license for booze that i could afford with the few meagre pennies i had collected together by rooting round all the long forgotten dusty corners of my house. It is here that i happened upon an economically appealing beverage called Lambrini. (the beloved of teenagers and ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Pear Juice With Attitude (439 words)
by - written on 21/02/05 (Very useful, 3845 readings)
Rating:

Lambrini isn't a bad drop of wine... but then again it's not actually a wine at all. Made from pears, it's what is known as Perry, and is basically the equivalent of cider, only made with pears rather than apples. Perry has to be made from special Perry pears, just as West Country cider is made from cider apples, and Perry pear trees are quite ...  Read the complete review

I’m on my own tonight, as my DH has gone out for a drink with some friends from work (and my brother). I’m not complaining, I think he’s only been out for a drink less than 10 times since Tafara was born (and he’s almost 17 months!). Anyway, I decided that if he was going to go out for a drink then I would buy myself a ...  Read the complete review

I have read the other ops on this wine and I felt I had to stand up for it. I have drunk many sparkling wines and although this one is cheap you shouldn't knock it. I can go down to my local shops and pick up a great evening in with the girls (or a romantic evening with my fiancé for just £1.99 (that's for 1.5l). I have had many ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lambrini: Tenderises your stomach! (319 words)
by - written on 03/06/01 (Very useful, 215 readings)
Rating:

Lambrini should not really be included under a category for 'sparkling wines and champagne' because it is neither. The name is a direct 'rip off' of Lambrusco. Lambrini is not made from grapes. Infact it has never been near a grape! It certainly shouldn't be sold as a wine. It is a perry made from pears ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Paint stripper by Lambrini (167 words)
by - written on 03/06/01 (Useful, 185 readings)
Rating:

Lambrini is a very cheap copy of Lambrusco Wine. Even the brand name tells you that. This is often seem on cheap supermarket shelves. In Morrisons it sells at £1.59 and in Netto £1.29 for a litre bottle. You can sometimes find deals on 2 litre bottles. I wouldn't recommend anybody to drink this unless they have a very strong, well ...  Read the complete review
