Lamb's® Navy™ Rum is a blend of 18 of the finest, smoothest, Caribbean rums from Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and aged for up to four years in oak casks. One of Britain's best known dark rums, it is deep, reddy-brown in colour with a smooth and mellow flavour, excellent depth and a distinctive lasting aftertaste with a hint of caramel. Best savoured neat or over ice, Lamb's® Navy™ Rum is also great served with your favourite mixer or in a whole host of cocktails, from the simple to the exotic.

The uniquely sweet and spicy flavour produced from sugar canes gathered from the West Indies, and throughout the Caribbean before its distilling process of being aged for a year before being held in a bourbon flask, ready for consumption. Lambs Navy Rum Priced £14.99 - £21.00 ABV 40% www.drinkaware.co.uk So, you're sitting with an old man, preferably with a big white beard in a library of sorts. The walls are caved with books, mementos and photographs of a bygone era. There are two large oxblood red leather chairs in the room, and the roaring open fire is encased with mahogany structure. The room is dark, but each flicker of each flame highlights a different character on his face. He recounts a story that leaves you bewildered. A tale of treachery, adventure and dashing bravado in a bygone era, it may about some treasure, a dalliance with a lost ...  Read the complete review

I just couldn’t keep my cotton picking thieving paws off it. What? I hear you ask. The bottle of Lambs Navy Rum sitting in my cupboard. I bought it last week ready for Christmas. I buy a bottle of spirits every week from now until Christmas. Then I don’t have to lay out large sums of money all in one go. Temptation, miserable weather and greed got the better of me. This gorgeous tasting rum is aged in oak casks and has a mixture of rums from Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad. Using these Caribbean rums is what gives it it’s unique taste. The bottle is an unusual shape too, it’s not round, it’s not ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lambs Navy Rum: Time to Celebrate (589 words)
by - written on 07/06/02 (Very useful, 539 readings)

Alfred Lamb established his business in London in 1849 and created one of the world’s most exciting rums with an irresistable and unique flavour. Mr Lamb had the sugar cane shipped from the Caribbean to the U.K. and distilled and aged the rum in the United Kingdom. The rum he created was a fascinating and exciting one with hints of fruit, oak and burnt toffee. This was linked to the fact that the rum was being aged in the English climate rather than that of the tropical climate of the Caribbean. This produced a rum unlike any from the Caribbean and is what characterises Lamb’s till this day. Until today every bottle of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review My favorite tipple (211 words)

When it comes to spirits dark navy rum is my favorite drink and Lambs is the tops as far as I'm concerned it has'nt got a licorice after taste like some dark rums that you can buy but a nice smooth caramel type flavour. I enjoy it in several different ways. Neat with ice and a slice. With Coke or Pepsi again with Ice, and the slice of lemon makes all the differece. One of my favorites is a large rum in my black coffee as a nightcap. I am a pig when it comes to Trifle but forget the sherry, pour in a nice big slug of lambs. It gives it a great flavour. If you like hot chocolate try adding a little flavour to it with ...  Read the complete review

Lambs Navy Rum reknowned for its fine taste a taste that lingers, I can vouch for that. Although we are told that it is best enjoyed neat my first experience with Lambs or any rum for that matter was as that classic mixed drink the Rum and Coke. My best pal and I arrived at his sisters with a half bottle and an inquizitive urge. Twenty minutes later the rum was gone from the bottle but it is true we could still tase it, in fact thirtysix years later I can still taste it. I have been a scotch drinker ever since. ...  Read the complete review
