I've tried Lanson Ivory Label Champagne, purchased in France but I've seen it in Wine Merchants over here. It is a pale yellow Champagne with medium sized bubbles (yes bubble size is important for quality; smaller is better). It has a medium dry taste which is not bitter and a mild fruity taste on the pallette. It is not acidic and has no vinegar-type taste as found in some other champagnes. Served with Fish and Chips it is delicious (totally decadent). It also goes well with Belgian chocolates. It costs about £9.00 in Sainsbury's in Calais which is tax paid but it may cost up to twice that amount in the UK because of our tax system. After drinking a ... Read the complete review
