Advantages: Strong, Full Flavour
Disadvantages: A bit pricey for some
When I wake up the first thing on my mind is COFFEE. I do nothing until that first cup is poured. Without it I cannot start my day. If it's not a proper cup than boy it's gonna be a bad day. I like really strong, quality coffee. After trying many different brands, I have finally (YEAH!!) found my favorite. Lavazza Qualita Rosa, ground coffee. BACKGROUND Lavazza coffee comes from Italy. Luigi Lavazza first invented the concept of the blend in the early 1900's. The concept was the complex art of mixing coffee of different origins to obtain a harmonious and tasty product in the cup. Does sound a bit difficult! PACKAGE Lavazza Qualita Rossa comes in either a single or double pack. The packaging is simple: silver & red with a picture of a coffee cup on the front. The coffee is air sealed very tightly to ensure freshness. STORAGE Once opened I keep my coffee in a sealed container in the refridgerator. This will keep it extra fresh for longer. It is important to keep it sealed as it will absorb other smells from the fridge. PRICE I always but the double pack as it is a better value. The double pack costs £3.69 and the single will set you back £1.99. One pack will last me and hubby 2 weeks. TASTE It really tastes strong. The beans are from Africa & South America to give it a distinct taste. There's a hint of chocolate flavour in it. The coffee is black, not light brown like some weak alternatives. The taste is full of flavour with no acidity. A really good brew. DIRECTIONS For each cup add 2 spoonfuls of coffee to the coffee machine. If you like it strong like me, add 3 spoonfuls! Lavazza also make espresso coffee, so if you're not into filter coffee, you could give that a go.
