Advantages: Refreshing fruity taste

Lilt has been one of my favourite drinks for quite a few years now. It has a fresh and tropical taste that is quite different to some of the other fizzy drinks out there many I find just taste of fake colouring this actually tastes of the fruit it is suppossed to be made of.

It is pineapple and grapefruit flavour and you can taste both in the drink the two flavours really compliment each other. I have noticed recently that it tastes a bit weaker than it used to. However you can still taste the flavour and it still tastes the same though not as strongly. However this may mean that they have used less sugars and sweetners so it will be better for you.

It is quite fizzy when you open it but I find that the fizz does disappear quite quickly this is even more so in the smaller bottles where I find it goes in a couple of hours this is quite disappointing as it doesn't taste as good when it has gone flat. In fact it has quite a strange taste to it which may be the gas they use to make it fizzy.

It isn't that good for you but then again neither is any fizzy drink really. In a 250ml serving it has 50cals and 11.6gms of sugar they are quite high but compare well to other soft drinks so it isn't really a critism of Lilt itself.

The packaging has changed from the picture it is now blue sploges in the background with a big grapefruit and pineapple with green lilt written across them. I do prefer the old packaging as it was bolder and brighter this one looks a bit faded. Especially the blue background that looks as though some paint has faded away.

This a really tasty drink and tastes fruity and refreshing I would recommend it.
