Advantages: Flavour is amazing
Disadvantages: Unhealthy
I try to stay of soft drinks or more appropriately called fizzy drinks, however Lilt is definitely one of my favourites. I love the more popular fizzy drinks like Coke and Pepsi, however what sets Lilt apart is that it has a very different flavour which sets it apart.
The bottle is very tropical and reflects the taste. This tastes of a mixture of many different tropical fruits and for me is a bit like a fizzy tropical drinks, something like the Suncret topical fruit juice drinks. Saying all this thought I feel that a bottle of Lilt is sometimes a bit too much, so I prefer just to get the cans as they are more value for money personally for me. Compared to other soft drinks this retails at around the same price and the average price you would expect to pay for a can of lilt would be 60p and for a bottle it would be arond 90p, however these are just estimates from my experience.
All in all though this is a very unhealthy drink like most of its kind, and if possible it is best to avoid. Yes in terms of taste it is great, and really you should just have drinks like this on the odd occassion. A can has around 70-80 calories which is a lot for a small drinks and plenty of sugar to keep it sweet, of course the positives is that it doesnt have any caffeine like coke and pepsi drinks. This is a very weel marketed drinks that seels well particularly in summer and they should take heed from coke and add variations to its flavour and finally make more healthier versions other than diet Lilt. 3 stars.
Summary: Drink in moderation

- 29/08/09 You've managed to do the entire review without mentioning it's two main flavours... Pineapple & grapefuit... They always used to sing it in the advert! :) |
