Lioncrest Beer - Yates and Jackson

I agree with Mark Woods that this is an exceptionally good canned beer.It produces a good head which is unusual for canned beer.The price is exceedingly good value I paid about £2.39 for a 4 pack recently in Tesco and I now don't hesitate to pass all their more expensive varieties and leave them on the shelf.Some might say that in giving this beer the thumbs up that I am a biased Lancastrian but I can assure you that the price being right I will drink bitter from anywhere!!!.

Cheap beer is rubbish, right? Wrong. I recently bought a four pack of this stuff from Tesco in March 2009 at a retail price of GBP 1.99. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It is brewed by Yates and Jackson brewery and is 4 percent strength. The beer is a traditional English ale and is very hoppy. The way I like it. The hops used in beer give it the bitterness and I like my beer very hopped. For such a reasonably priced product I was surprised by how much flavour there was available to me.
