Advantages: Nice blend of tea and peach

Disadvantages: Leaves me feeling slightly thirsty after drinking it!

I absolutely love tea and 'pop' so when I saw this still soft drink containing tea and the juice of peaches I was instantly attracted to it! I paid £1.89 for my very first bottle of this in Sainsbury's a while back and then the other day I saw it at Instore for 29p a bottle! I couldn't believe my eyes as they were the large 1.5 litre bottles and so I grabbed 3 bottle (I didn't half struggle on the bus to get them home I can tell you lol).

The Packaging....

Long plastic bottle with a red screw on/off cap/lid to the top of it and around the middle of the bottle there is a yellow and orange label and on that there is a slice of peach and leaf drawn on and I'm told it is Lipton 'Source Of Tea, Antioxidnants' Ice Tea - Peach. Other information on the bottle tells me to refrigerate it once opened and to consume it chilled within 5 days, contact details for Unilever (the manufacturer of the product) are given, size is stated as is the recycle symbol displayed, I'm given a list of ingredients and told that it contains no artificial colours, preservatives or sweeteners and contains 35% less sugar than most regular soft drinks, nutritional information is given and finally there is a bar-code on there. It has nice bright labelling to it that contains enough information on it though not too much and what there is, is nicely displayed!

The Drink...

Well as promised it is a still drink so no bubbles in this one. It's an odd colour, lightish brown due to the 4.7% tea that this includes and of course the peach concentrate is in there too. Taste wise.... yes this is best served chilled and with ice in my opinion!

It has a light and delicate peachy smell to it when you go to drink it and taste wise, well I love it and I'm sure I've got a new addiction! To me this is a nice blend of tea and peach. It isn't strong in tea flavour but it's definitely in there somewhere. Blended well with the peach I actually taste that flavouring more when I've drank loads of it oddly enough. Really though this is just a watery tea with a hint of peach. It is quite sweet though and to me it tastes naturally so but for me isn't a thirst quencher and actually makes me more thirsty as I drink it so I end up drinking loads of it!

Verdict....

I like the delicate flavourings of this and to me it is a grown up soft drink. Good for you as well as it's packed full of antioxidants and if you haven't tried it and you see it, in my opinion its worth a go!
