When it comes to energy drinks I'm a real fan of them and Lucozade offerings are my favs! I love the original Lucozade and literally have to hold myself back from consuming gallons of the stuff due to it's high calorie content! The other day I saw this new flavour hitting me in the face wherever I turned begging to bought and buy it I did in my local Sainsbury's store for when I came out of the gym as a treat!

The Packaging:

I've only so far seen this is in a 380ml bottle which is of course the one I'm reviewing. It's clear plastic bottle with a slight curve to it's middle and has a black plastic film that covers it and on that there are there is a picture of cherry looking bubbles and I'm told it is New Lucozade 'Cherry' Energy 'Giving you a physical edge'. Other information on the bottle includes ingredients being listed, nutritional information being given, and an at a glance nutritional chart and contact details for GlaxoSmithkline are listed (the manufacturer of the product). Nice bottle and I instantly could see it was a new flavour but it's very in keeping with the Lucozade range.

The Drink:

A dark burgundy colour, slightly sparkling and when you unscrew the cap you are met with a fizz and the smell of like marzipan cherries. It smells great! The taste really is of cherries and that's it. Sure it's sweet as this does contain a hefty amount of glucose but it's deliciously so and you don't notice all that sweetness so much mixed with the fizz it has and it's a rather fresh and crisp drink.

It still remains light, refreshing and is so very tasty. Does it give your energy levels a boost? It did mine yes. I was knackered till I downed this and I did feel a little re-energised and awake and therefore more alert even if that feeling was only temporary after it's consumption and most o all I enjoyed this drink!

I loved this flavour and in my opinion it's a welcome addition to the Lucozade range and I am sure I will buy this time and time again in the future for a change! Lovely!
