This week I started a new full time job, and I have found I have the attention span of a fly! Whereas before I worked part time, now working monday-friday as a legal assistant I realise I don't have a high concentration capacity and by the time I get back to my desk after lunch I just feel sleepy! I am a big fan of lucozade and I like the apple, tropical and most recently one of my favourites is the Pink Lemonade Limited Edition variety, but about 3 times this week I found myself drinking this Lucozade energy - cherry flavour. I bought a 500ml bottle as there was an offer on in Boots where all lucozade was £1 and to me this is pretty decent value for lucozade!

It comes in a black and red designed bottle with a resealable lid so I can take a gulp and save the rest for later. Opening the bottle it has a strong fizzyness to it, as I can hear the fizz sound release as soon as I remove the lid and a refreshing cherryade-type aroma wafts out and the drink smells nice and sweet. Taste wise this does have a strong, powerful cherry flavour, not like the cheap brands of cherryade that are on the market. It doesn't taste too sweet but is nice and thirst quenching without tasting like I am drinking an average bottle of fizzy drink. It's hard to describe but I find all lucozade drinks (regardless of flavour) have a distinct lucozade type after taste to it. Nothing horrible, but more what I presume is the energy drink aspect of it which is probably the mild caffeine content kicking in lol.

In terms of boosting my mental and physical energy levels I do find that constantly sipping this throughout the afternoon helps me to concentrate better and focus on my work more than I would if I was just drinking normal cherry flavoured fizzy drink so this is definitely a plus! However, I do find that if I drink this it does make me visit the loo a lot more often so perhaps this is just me but it passes through me like no-ones business lol. Another downside is this drink is dramatically high in sugar so is probably rotting my teeth with each sip so I would definitely recommend it to be drank in moderation and not as frequently as I have been drinking it!
