When it comes to fizzy drinks, I usually opt for diet coke. But my second favourite drink is lucozade. I especially get this drink if I'm feeling a bit run down and lethargic. You can buy this drink at around the £0.80p mark for a 380 ml bottle.


PACKAGING

The drink comes in a plastic bottle which is mainly red and yellow in colour. There is a red screw on lid. You can't miss this drink as it has the word LUCOZADE in big yellow print on the front of the bottle. On the back of the bottle are the ingredients, nutritional information and contact details.

The bottom part of the bottle is clear so you can see the contents.


THE DRINK

The aroma of the drink is quite strong, but don't let this put you off. It is quite sweet smelling, but I find this quite nice and tempting.

As I said, this is a fizzy drink. This is a brain and body energy drink. Per 100 ml there is 308kj/73 kcals and nil fat. I won't list the whole ingredients, but it contains 26% Glucose Syrup, caffeine and Lactic Acid.

On tasting the drink, Lucozade has a very distinct taste. It doesn't really taste of anything in particular. Maybe it's the glucose syrup I can taste as it does have a somewhat syprupy and sweet taste to it. It does have a slight orangey taste to it.

This drink is not suitable for children under the age of 2 years old.

Lucozade is not appropriate for replacing the fluid during diarrhoea.

Lucozade may stain if spilt.


MY THOUGHTS

I really like this drin. It's obviously not like Red Bull and the like where it wakes you up instantly. But I find that it does give you a slight energy boost to your brain and body. It tastes really nice and not a bad price either.
