Advantages: Gives you energy, tastes nice
Disadvantages: none
Lucozade is the glucose based energy drink manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline.
Lucozade is a drink used for a couple of different reasons. Due to it's the high energy content, lucozade is particularly useful for maintaining energy levels during sporting activities. Lucozade is also useful for resupplying body fluids after dehydration of illness. It seems that whenever someone is ill, Lucozade is the drink that just has to be bought. Another reason for use is for diabetics. During periods of low blood sugar levels, lucozade can be used to quickly raise the blood sugar level before they reach dangerously low levels.
Lucozade energy drink has now branched out into different flavours. These flavours include:
Original
Orange
Apple
Lemon
Wild berry
Tropical
Lucozade also comes in varying sizes. These are one litre bottles, 500ml bottles, 380 ml bottles and a 330ml can. Call me silly but the lucozade does not taste as nice when drunk from a can. You can expect to pay around 2.50 for the one litre bottle, about 1.40 for the 500 ml bottle, about a pound for the 380ml and around 60p for a can. Lucozade can be bought in nearly every shop and supermarket.
It has a great taste, is about the same price as other drinks on the market and definitely gives you the energy you need. Worth the drink!
Summary: A lovely drink
