I participate in a lot of sports, and also have that stage in the day where I need that little bit of energy. Lucozade Energy is my chosen drink to give my energy levels that extra boost for when I need it.

Highly identified for its luminous orange bottle (also other colours now depending on flavour) bearing the famous Lucozade logo, it's a definite must buy for times when needed or just for the great taste. For those people who don't enjoy caffeine based drinks, then this is the one for you.

Obviously being a high energy drink, Lucozade provides the essential Glucose your body needs to keep it running through the day. Making it great for sport as well as the calmer hours. Its great for hydration, as we have just been issued it in our ration packs for times such as being in Iraq or Afghanistan, when its essential you take in the fluids your body relies upon. Most people, including myself actually, sometimes feel thirst again not long after, your body is still hydrated though and this feeling only makes you drink more, which is great for the body.

Lucozade should not be a fluid you consume all day every day, as its high content of sugar is obviously not good for you. I would recommend a maximum of three bottles a day, which also contributes to part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle. The reason for this is because it contains on average around a third of your recommended daily sugar levels. Its also fairly high in calories too.

On an average count the smaller bottles, about 380ml, contains 270 calories and 33.1g of sugar. The price is usually around 80p and is sold almost anywhere. It is also available in packs of 6 with a large variety of flavours such as Orange and Lemon.

The taste is extremely unique, with its fuel looking, orange glow is just has to be tried. It's very sweet, and is exactly the fluid you want to be guzzling when your dehydrated. It's great for a hang over too! Due to the high sugar content, it's a good fluid to drink during illnesses such as colds, as it replaces the fluids lost as well as keeping your energy up whilst your body is working hard to repair itself and fight off that nasty illness.

I would definitely recommend Lucozade Energy to anyone whether it's for sport, work, illness or just for the great taste!
