Lucozade was one of the first energy drinks in is my favourite hands down to red bull, kick or boost, the only energy drink that is almost as nice as it is bpm. However although it is an energy drink, it is really high in calories and sugar, though this is intential as the glucose is provided to give you a boost in your day.
You can buy a 380ml bottle of Lucozade for around £1.10 in supermarkets depending on where you shop, this is more expensive than Coca Cola products and other bottled juices, though it is an energy drink and all energy drinks are usually more expensive than these brands.
I find it very hard to describe the taste of Lucozade, it is very sweet and very fizzy, it has its own unique taste, though if you like sweet fizzy drinks chances are that you will love this one.
A real drawback for me about this drink is that if you spill it, it leaves an orange stain, and this stain is so hard to remove, Im not sure if its possible yet to get it out of my white top, but I will keep trying :)
There is a lot of sugar and calories in a 380ml bottle of Lucozade, though it is an energy drink so its designed to have extra calories and energy in it for people on the go, the nutritional information is as follows:
Calories: 266
Sugars: 33.1g
Fat: Nil
Saturates: Nil
Salt:0.3g
I think that Lucozade is great if you are working out or have a very active life, it gives you that extra energy boost to keep you going for a while longer, and tastes great too.
