Gives me a solid energy boost

Advantages: Great taste, energy boosts
Disadvantages: Sweet and high calorie content
I have been drinking Lucozade for donkey's years now and it's a taste and I brand I like and trust. I like to drink this when I feeling a bit sluggish or need a bit of a boost or a pick me up. I am flagging by the end of the week so this is when I tend to pick up a bottle at the petrol station on my way back from work on a Friday evening and pay for it along with my petrol.
It comes in a load of different flavours such as cherry, berries, apple and orange but I tend to prefer the original flavour best of all and it also reminds me of when I was a little lad! Yes! Lucozade rally has been around for that long!
I buy the small 380ml bottle from the petrol station and it costs around £1.20, but varies according to where I am filling up. It is an energy drink, in essence, and as such, probably more expensive than other energy drinks on the market. Having said that though, I tend to prefer Lucozade over the other energy drinks as I prefer the taste.
The ingredients are: (for original flavour only) :
Carbonated Water, Glucose Syrup (25%), Citric Acid, Lactic Acid, Flavouring, Preservatives (Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Bisulphite), Caffeine (0.012%), Antioxidant (Ascorbic Acid), Colour (Sunset Yellow).
One 380ml sized bottle contains around 250 calories, which I suppose is a lot if you are watching your weight (I am watching mine, but not doing anything else... just watching) as I am.
Although sweet tasting and quite high in calories, I do enjoy the taste of Lucozade and it is very thirst quenching. It also gives me a brilliant lift if my energy levels are flagging mid afternoon.
Overall then, I do recommend this energy drink and think it is up there with one of my all time favourites.
Summary: Love the stuff
