Initially 'Glucozade' when it was first produced in 1927 (I didn't realise it was that old either!), it became known as just 'Lucozade', but has more recently become Lucozade Original to help distinguish it from the other similar variants in the ever-expanding range. It's produce by GlaxoSmithKline, a very popular & prestigious company who I ... Read the complete review

Why Lucozade **************** As I am sat here at my computer today off sick with probable swine flu I thought I would write about what I am drinking. Lucozade to me since being a child has always been what you drink when you are not well; to give you a lift and some much needed energy. What is it and ... Read the complete review

Lucozade Energy I am completely sure that everyone has heard of Lucozade, if not tried it. It has been around for ages. It is an energy drink with glucose, which for me is synonymous with being unwell as a child. If you weren't well, you got to lie on the sofa and were bought Lucozade. I am not sure if it actually helped, but it ... Read the complete review

Whilst many other energy drinks have come & gone, Lucozade has been around for many years & is still an extremely strong player in the market. So what is it about the drink which has lead to it's huge success? Some energy drinks although they do the job don't always taste that pleasent. Let's face it who wants to drink something ... Lucozade is regarded as the oldest of the common energy drinks, though life didn't start that way, as it was originally created as a medical drink to help against common illnesses such as the Flu, it wasn't until a rebranding campaign in the 1980's that it changed to being an energy drink. Originally called Glucozade (due to the main ... Read the complete review

My wife absolutely adores Lucozade, but I find it can be quite expensive. A drink whose name goes hand in hand with the phrase 'quality energy giving drink', as far as I am concerned, Lucozade Energy is a registered trademark of the GlaxoSmithKline Group. Who are they? No idea, but what I do know is that Lucozade does the job. It's ... Read the complete review

Lucozade is one of the most popular energy drinks available and has been around for numerous years. Lucozade was first manufactured in 1927. It was originally called glucozade and was given to patients who suffered with colds and the flu.. I wonder if anyone faked a cold to get one for free! Muslims weren't allowed to drink ... Lucozade is one of those drinks that used to be sold in Hospital Shops and Chemists as a Health tonic. I first learned about Lucozade after seeing it in hospitals on bedside tables. It was the accompaniment to a bunch of grapes that you took as a "gift" whenever you had the misfortune of having to visit someone in Hospital. The first ... Read the complete review

I tend to reach for the odd bottle of Lucozade. At this moment I am gulping down a bottle, but the only 2 times I tend to drink this is when I don't feel well and have a louzy cold or flu, or if i've been on the drink the night before and, dare I say overdone it? Yes I was out last night, had 13 Drinks, a mixture of Vodka and Diet Coke, Smirnoff ... Read the complete review

Lucozade Energy is an energy drink which uses glucose as the main energy form. It comes in several flavours, including original, orange, apple, citrus and berry. It comes in either 1 litre or 380ml bottles (as far as I know, these are the only sizes) and can be bought in multi-packs. The smaller bottle is approximately the same height ... My favourite drink on the market! Mainly because of the taste, its supposed to be used in sports but it has been proven fizzy drinks will only make you more at risk to stomach pains while doing sports. Strangely, Lucozade is actually recommended by a lot of sports professionals for its streamlined energy distribution. It appears that whilst it contains several heaped teaspoons of sugar in it (to say the least), the other benefits hugely mitigate this). The real key ingrediant that differentiates it from other energy drinks on the market is the ... Read the complete review

Oh what a hot Summer's day. You should be reclining in a recumbent sweaty slumber soaking up some rays and enjoying life. Belive me I was until about 6.30pm and then I had to go to the dojo. I first started drinking lucozade about 11 years ago when I was 14. Back then it came in glass bottles and wasnt as widely available in the supermarket as it is now. Well its not healthy but if you need a sugar rush and you want it in a tasty way then look no further. Lucozade has a very manufactured taste (in the same way that coke does, only the tastes are completely different) which is very nice.
