Advantages: Fresh, fruity taste
Disadvantages: Heavy texture
I'm not normally a big fan of smoothies because they can be quite heavy and gloopy in texture.
But I decided to try out this small bottle of mango, pineapple and lime smoothie from Marks and Spencers just for a change from the regular fruit juice.
The predominant taste is of mango, with the pineapple really only coming through as an aftertaste. I couldn't detect any lime juice at all.
It's a very smooth texture which goes down well. But as with all smoothies, if you don't drink it quick, it tends to settle in the bottom of the glass and when you get down to the bottom it's quite thick and gloopy.
Banana puree is listed as an ingredient but I couldn't taste it at all.
This counts as one of your five a day which is good as I always struggle to reach my five a day from eating fruit and veg.
