A seriously easy drink (Malibu Rum)

Advantages: Alcohol that actually tastes nice!

Disadvantages: It is a little more potent that the flavour suggests

I've never really enjoyed drinking spirits as most of them taste foul and leave a burning sensation in my throat for about a half hour afterwards, not only that but a little too much vodka one time left me saying 'never again'. However for me, Malibu, is the exception to this rule. It is more like a tasty treat rather than something with the means to an end of getting drunk.

It has an almost aromatic scent about it when drank straight and a light syrupy texture that glides down your throat with ease.

The coconut taste masks the hard nosed taste of the liquor and makes drinking it an enjoyable experience and smooth on the palate. For me this is a drink which is equally enjoyable straight or mixed with lemonade or coke for a more diluted pop esque drink.
However don't be fooled by the delightful flavour of this drink as it is still very potent at 20% alcohol, and yes, drinking it like pop will result in a drunken stupor.

Summary: A nice drink for those who can't stomach heavy spirits
