Advantages: Nice smelling powder

Disadvantages: Zero taste

I like chocolate. That's no secret. Mainly I like Cadbury's (nothing fancy just some nice average choccy) but I like other brands too. One of the other types that I enjoy is Maltesers. I like to have a supply of little fun size packets in the house for snacking, or for the kids when they call round. So the other week when I was doing the shopping I notice the Maltesers instant hot chocolate (I didn't mention that I'm also a big fan of chocolate in the liquid form!) for the first time. I chucked a 300g tub in the trolley cos I thought it would make for a nice treat.

How wrong I was! On opening the container I was greeted by a lovely chocolatey aroma, a very good sign I thought, so I spooned the required 5 teaspoonfuls of powder into a cup and added boiling water.

After stirring and then giving the drink a couple minutes to cool down, I took my first sip. I waited for the taste to kick in. I'm still waiting. There really was practicaly no flavour. I don't know how a drink can smell so good in powder format and then turn to nothingness in drink format, but this one did!

The container boasts 'only 99 calories per serving', but you'd be better drinking boiled water for zero calories!

Please avoid.

Summary: No flavour hot drink

Completely agree - I wouldn't even mind that it doesn't taste anything like Maltesers, if it still tasted nice.

I agree with you. There's no flavour to it whatsoever! That's why I still have one lingering in my cupboard x
