Mars refuel is a gorgeous tasting drink. Yeah it's meant to give you energy and boasts a load of stuff about providing rapid recovery for athletes due to it's 4:1 carbohydrate:protein ratio, but let me explain, I'm a lazy bum and me drinking this has nothing to do with sports, so I can't comment from that perspective.

I love milkshakes but not thick ones. They feel a bit claggy and gloopy, and I don't enjoy the texture. Mars refuel is perfect for me, from this perspective. It's not too thick at all, but still has a lovely rich mars chocolate/caramel taste. Very sweet but not sickly. I am a chocolate enthusiast mind you, so sickly to me would probably be a pile of chocolate the size of the empire state building.

Calorie wise, it's a bit of a nightmare. Very good if you're indulging in sports activities and need that energy, but for me sat here writing my dooyoo reviews, it's going to do nothing other than add padding to my afore mentioned lazy bum. Still, the taste is worth it. It contains 154 cals per 200ml, and the bottle is 388ml, so we're talking just under 300 cals a bottle?

This drink is definitely tastiest consumed cold, nice on a warm day like today. It's only 1.5% fat, which is not bad for a milk based drink and also contains no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or sweeteners. It cost about £1 from our local corner shop, probably cheaper in your local supermarkets.
