I love milky chocolate drinks whether they are hot or cold so I've been in my element while Morrisons had an offer on for this 'Mars Refuel drink recently!

They have been nearly half price on offer for a pound for a litre carton of the most gorgeous chocolate, malt and caramel drink, yum yum!

I remember these coming out and begging for one to try but they were really expensive but every so often they become a bargain then I simply have to have one, lol!

Sold is a classy black carton with the famous Mars name in red, the refuel name is trademarked and it's done really well. On the front of the cardboard pack (recycle please!) it says there are 160 calories in a 200ml glass but there are no artificial colours or preservatives plus it's made with fresh British milk.

There is 2% fat and it is a natural source of calcium for strong teeth and bones plus a natural source of protein and some B vitamins.

The advertising pushes the fact that there's malt and glucose energy for helping with exercise while the write up says how unique the mars taste inside is.

I must admit I was curious when I was younger to see if it tastes like a melted Mars bar but of course it didn't, lol!

The smell when you break the seal on the bright red plastic lid is really familiar though, like liquid Mars and the colour is a light brown.

You can definitely taste the sugar and maltiness in it, like Maltesers would be almost in liquid form.

The milk is really refreshing and cold as obviously you have to keep this drink in the fridge, although it wasn't as thick as I expected it to be. I imagined a milkshake consistency but it's thinner in texture than that...

I have to say I loved it! The taste is really natural and the flavour really reminded me on the original Mars Bars with the scent.

It is expensive normally but worth it on special offer, five stars from me, slurp! ;-p
