Master Semi-Dark

Master Semi-Dark is another beer from the Plzen based brewery Plzensky Prazdroj and again boasts of being made of fine hops from the Zadec region to give it a unique taste - obviously not that unique since just about every other beer in Czech Republic claims the same. It's inception was last year. I had this one before the Dark version of Master and it's probably just as well or I'm not sure I would have bothered trying it. Semi-Dark was probably a bit more up my street, it retained some of the elements of a strong dark lager but contained less extract (13 as opposed to 18) and the alcohol at 5.2% is also considerably less, it doesn't seem to have caught on ...  Read the complete review
