Advantages: cheaper than the leading brand
Disadvantages: not sprinkle and very plain
Every now and then I do fancy a cup of coffee for a change from my morning tea. So I always buy Nescafe to enjoy cappucino and latte in different flavour. The Nescafe is satisfying for me, and for many months seemed to be on offer so I usually took advantage of the marked down price. But recently there have been no such offer. So while I'm out to check for a bargain I saw Maxwell House selling a box of 10 cappuccino sachets for £1.69, way cheaper than nescafe that cost £2.45. I thought that was worth a try. Besides the box appeals to me so I grabbed the original sweetened flavour which I prefer.
BACKGROUND
It's Interesting to know that Maxwell House was the largest-selling coffee in the U.S. for many years until late 1980's but I have no idea about their current position at the moment. Maxwell House is a brand of coffee manufactured by a like-named division of Kraft Foods. It is named in honor of the Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.( I usually do some research about the brand I reviewed so I thought it would be helpful to share those info with you.)

EXPERIENCE
Each sachet is a right size for a big mug, but I tend to use half each time I use it because my coffee mug is quite small so I though that will do. Well this was quite a boring experience, the end result was disappointing, to say the least. It does not have the froth that I enjoy in a cappucino. It's flavour isn't quite as strong as I would have expected it to be. As I thought that cappucino is a strong coffee, hot milk and a frothy, creamy head with chocolate sprinkled on top. Maxwell house cappucino does'nt appear to be like that. It's very plain coffee mixed with coffeemate. I also checked for the chocolate sprinkles which was shown on the picture of the box but i finally realize that it's not included. Then I decided to use the sprinkles i had from Nescafe, I also end up adding more sugar eventhough I had the sweetened flavour. I did'nt feel any excitement whenever I had my coffee treat. It's dull, taste really blunt and uninspiring. It's just a plain coffee not a cappucino as they claim it to be.
OPINION
Everyone has their own taste when it comes to enjoying their coffee time treat. But I don't think any one who loves coffee dearly would love this at all. They'll be better off making their own or having nescafe instead. The main thing that puts me off is the flavour which isn't quite strong as "real" cappucino. I woul definitely go back with nescafe's version of latte and cappucino. On the goodside, maxwellhouse cappucino has 64 calories and 1.6grams of saturated fat, which is less than Nescafe. But I'm quite certain that I won't buy this again for my coffee treat.
Thank you for reading ;-D
