Mellow Birds was always my favourite coffee, nowadays I stiil drink quite a lot of coffee, but seem to have moved to stronger granulated instant coffees, I thought Mellow Birds would probably now seem too weak and mild. Last week having run out of coffee I drove down to my local Murco garage which houses a Cost Cutter Supermarket, all the coffee seemed a bit pricey, at £1.99 for a 100g jar, Mellow Birds was the cheapest, so I bought a jar and am pleased I did. Coffee must be like an old friend meeting one again after a gap of a few years, and you soon see what you probably have forgotten : why you liked them in the first place. I have never really been a massive coffee drinker, until I started my latest job and now I cant seem to get enough of the stuff. I do however like it quite strong and can't have it with milk. I came across this product while I was shopping in Iceland and seen that it was on a special deal so picked it up. When I got it home, I realised I should have read the label properly and was a bit disappointed when I read 'deliciously mild'. I put it in the back of the cupboard thinking it wasnt the product for me until the time came when i had exhausted my supplies of Nescafe. I have always been a big coffee drinker. Instant, ground, cappuccino, I'm not fussy really. The only stipulation I have when it does come to coffee is that it mustn't be too strong, and must be quite milky. This is because I find overly-strongly tasting coffee is a bit over-powering for my own particular tastes. This fact alone brings me to tell you about Mellow Bird's. This brand of coffee has been available for as long as I can remember really. Widely available in all good grocery stores and supermarkets, the brand is instantly recognisable with its bright blue coloured lid and labelling to the front of the jar.
