I first tasted Moretti beer in a Pizzaland restaurant (back in the days before they were taken over by Pizza Hut). It tasted great to me then, a fine accompaniment to the pizza and garlic bread. Much to my disappointment, I never saw it for sale in any supermarkets or off-licences here in the UK, and even had problems finding “Birra Moretti” whenever I went on holiday to Italy. My only other source apart from Pizzaland, back in those days, was a friendly restaurant owner who could buy it from a wholesaler.
