Advantages: Tastes good! :)
Disadvantages: Artificial sweetners :(
I love flavoured drinks and especially fizzy pops but I am constantly getting told too much carbonated drink is bad for me so I have to drink diluted pop as well for a change...
Morrisons do a range or diluted squashes which include No Added Sugar Apple and Blackcurrant squash which is sold in a square shaped plastic bottle (recycle please!) with a blue plastic lid on it.
The bottle has a stick on plastic label running around the middle with all the product info on it. The juice is 10% fruit juice made from concentrate so it is very strong so you need to water it down considerably...
There are no artificial colours or flavourings but there are artificial sweeteners in it obviously.
The 10% concentrate is from 8% apple juice and 2% blackcurrant juice which gives the squash its really dark purple colour. There is a preservative in the juice as well.
The calories are only 8 per 100ml undiluted with 1.2g of sugar. The instructions to say to dilute one part to four parts water but that is way too strong, I would say at least double that and to give it even weaker to toddlers...
Once opened use within four weeks and the bottle size is a litre for 59p but sometimes the supermarket do an offer for two for a pound of the different flavours.
A 250 ml serving is only 4 calories with 0.5 g of sugar in it and 0.2g of salt.
The flavour is very fruity and sweet with a bit of bitterness from the blackcurrant. I really like it because of the apple as that is my favourite fruit :)
It doesn't taste artificial and is really nice a refreshing, especially cold in summer!
Five stars from me for awesome value and this size bottle lasts us at least two weeks with normal use and is better for me than fizzy drinks all the time.
Summary: Worth the money :)
