I first tried this wine at a Tapas bar in Banff in 2001, and to say it switched my wine drinking allegiance well and truly to New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, would be an understatement. There is just something about a crisp sauvignon served in the perfect glass at the perfect temperature which cannot be beaten. Marlborough is still a wine making region which I adore to this day. The crisp coolness of the sauvignon grape and the climate of the south Island of New Zealand have ensured I have never had a bad bottle from this delightful region yet.
