Advantages: supposedly healthy

Disadvantages: yuck

With everyone worrying about healthy eating, lots of exercise, telling you to eat your five a day, drink the right amount of water daily, and take your vitamins, sometimes it gets a bit hard, but with the Muller One a Day drinks, it's makes one good thing very easy to do.
Muller claimed to be the first company in the Uk to create a yogurt drink which contains one portion of fruit in each serving, and hoped to change how people consumed their five a day.
Muller is a company I would trust if they said they were making a healthy drink, as they are quite a well known company surely they'd be good at what they do!

At 99p per 200ml bottle (£4.95 per litre) I would have once said this is a lot, but when you look at other drinks of this size or type, they are generally all this kind or price, so I guess it's normal now.
If you were to buy one every week day, in five days you'd spend £4.95, and a month of week days it would be £19.80. On this basis, I think if you're only drinking it because you are starting to be more aware of your health, then it's not the best option, it's a lot of money for fruit that can generally be bought quite cheaply.
It's a lot more cost effective to make your own fruit drink, you're 100% sure what goes in it too, but if you're out and about this drink would be good for you.
I had a look on www.dailymail.co.uk at a page listing different drinks of this sort, Muller one a day only scored a 3/10, with an 'expert's view' saying the following:
More a milkshake than a smoothie. Does not contain added sugar, so its calorie content is not too high. But with less than one-quarter of its contents from fresh fruit, this is not one of the healthiest drinks.

Just above this is another very similar style drink from the Innocent brand, they claim the drink is equal to two portions of fruit, which sounds more impressive than Muller's claim, price-wise though, at £1.79 per 250ml, maybe you'd still rather buy Muller one a day.
Another quote, from www.nutraingredints.com:

The UK arm of German dairy giant Muller has canned its '1 a Day' healthy yoghurt line after only 12 months, citing retailer disappointment with sales levels and downward pressure on its premiums as fundamental reasons.
Muller may claim to be the first yogurt drink with one fruit portion inside, but I've never really known much about their promises and all the other flavours, whereas you couldn't get away from the innocent drinks for example, Muller spent £5 million on advertising for this, I'm not sure why I've barely noticed it.

Appearance:

I don't think the actual drink looks nice, the bottle is fine and the label looks nice and simple, but it's the strange neutral colour of this particular flavour I don't really like. I don't think this bottle really stands out, it looks like it could have been designed many years ago and needs updating.

Taste:

I'm not really into many yogurt or thick milkshake drinks, but I do want to feel that I'm being healthy so I did give this a try. It's the texture I don't really like, it's one thing for me eating a yogurt, but drinking one is always a bit weird for me!
It's best to shake it a bit if you've let it settle. I don't often like going for drinks that have banana in it as I think it's usually a bit overwhelming, and no matter how much other stuff is in it, all I can taste is banana. However, this wasn't too full of banana flavour so that was a nice surprise. I could mainly taste the orange, definitely not the best thing i've ever tasted.

Summary

I didn't particularly like the texture of this drink, you can't really call it refreshing, that's why I only ever buy these drinks to be healthy, and I tend to have another drink with it. If you like yogurt drinks a lot more than me though, you'll probably like the texture.

Compared to other pure fruit drinks, this didn't make me feel happy and healthy, I think it's because it's yogurt and just doesn't seem like such a 'fresh drink', I hope this makes sense... Maybe it's because it fills you up more than just a fruit smoothie.
I wouldn't be able to make one and make it taste the same as this tasted a little artificial, which is why I didn't feel refreshed and healthy after.

If you feel like trying something that claims to be healthy, give this a go, if you want to feel healthy, refreshed and have a lovely sweet burst of fruity flavour maybe try something else.
I hope this is helpful thanks for reading.

Summary: Its ok
