drink of the gods (Peroni Nastro Azzurro)

Advantages: crisp, clean super refreshing taste Disadvantages: pricy but worth it I'm a big fan of these newer bottled lagers that fill the shelves of your local Tesco's these days. Previously my favourites have been the Japanese Asahi and Mexican Corona ( although only with a lime because its very harsh with out it). I'm pleased to report that Peroni is up there with the best. The first thing you will notice is the crisp ultra-refreshing taste because it hits you like a smack in the face. when it touches your throat you will feel like you have wasted the last 5 years of your life drinking carling, fosters et al. haha maybe a bit of exaggeration but the taste is superb, it feels like your drinking alcoholic water from a Tuscany mountain spring. this detracts away from the fact that it's a pretty strong beer at 5.2%. on the down side this extra quality does come at a price but if you are willing to pay that little bit extra it is well worth it as it is definitely one of the better beers on the market today. Summary: a superb frsh tasting italian beer that smacks of quality, say ariva derche to carling, fosters etc. |
