 ... Nelson Brewing Company, based in the Historic Dockyards at Chatham in Kent. This is a new brewery to me. I really know nothing about them although I'm surprised I wasn't aware of them as I attended an AGM in that very same place just a year ago. They obviously hide themselves away very well as I didn't even detect the very obvious smell of brewing either! Christmas and birthdays are always an interesting time for me. My kids have never known what to get me, except that they do know that I like my beers and the more unusual the better. OK, I have my regular favourites but I also like to have an opportunity to try ales that I would necessarily by for myself. Opening a new beer is always a moment of anticipation. Sometimes the anticipation turns into delight but just as often disappointment. It isn't anything to do with the size of the brewery.
