Etymology Just for refreshing and before talking about Nescafe Cappuccino, these two words might be interesting for us; Why did Italians name after this soft-drink, ?cappuccino?? Being a fan of the soft-drink, everyone should know the brief ?history?. Cappuccino, the espresso coffee mixed or topped with steamed milk or cream, was derived from Italian. Actually the word means a long, pointed cowl, worn by a Capuchin friar (a Catholicism-worship). However, it sounds strange that the word developed a new sense; just because the color of the coffee resembled the color of the habit of a Capuchin friar, the delicious soft-drink was called so. Various Tastes Coffee comes from coffee-beans. There are many coffee-mills producing coffee with different mixtures. Some grind the coffee-beans with only some corns; some grind it with only some cocoa-beans, some grind it with some corns and cocoa-beans, etc. Indonesia, the country I am growing up and living in now, is a tropical country. Drinking a cup of strong coffee with a little sugar in the morning has been our tradition. However, we drink just a certain local product and never move to try the others. Supposing I have been used to drinking the brand ?A?, then it is hard for me to drink brand ?B?, brand ?C? and so on. It is because of the different mixtures or compositions that give the inconsistent tastes and cause inconvenient on our tongues. Although various local brands of instant coffee packed in small sachets (each is just for a cup) are sold in Indonesia, it does not change our preference. Personally, I see the mixtures of the instant coffee do not match our various tastes. Some love the sweet one whilst others love the strong one with a little sugar, and so on. Having a travel or a journey is quite troublesome for the coffee-addicts. It is impossible for us to have the same mixtures of the coffee we have been used to drinking. Well, everyone know
s that the coffee-addicts drink coffee not because of they are being thirsty or hungry, but just for fulfilling their ?latent need?. Nescafe Cappuccino I prepare Nescafe Cappuccino at home. I drink it once in a while, especially when my friends are visiting me for I still love my local coffee. It is served for some friends of mine who are visiting me. Why Nescafe Cappuccino? Well, it is because of its ?neutral taste?. Besides, it is also easy to serve. It is not available in our local market. I bought it in Batam, an isle which is close to Singapore. It may be imported from Singapore. Many of my friends admire its special taste, and they do not think it is Nescafe Cappuccino, the instant coffee. Most of them may think that I serve them with our local coffee mixed with some cream or milk, and always ask me the composition of the mixture. In brief, I think Nescafe Cappuccino is suitable for everybody. It gives good smell and nice taste. None of my friends has ever complained about its taste. I can be served with warm water, and boiled water for the best result. Hence, though I am not the regular consumer on this product, I write this opinion is just to prove that Nescafe Cappuccino can give satisfactory to various individuals who have their own favorite taste on coffee. It can be a standard ?benchmark? and I recommend it to others who are keen on drinking coffee for the ?latent need? of satisfaction in taste. So far, only this I can write based on my own survey, especially for most Indonesian.
