Advantages: Fairly strong, Tastes like Coffee should
Disadvantages: not the cheapest instant coffee on the market
I have to admit I am not a coffee connoisseur but I do know what I like and I like Nescafe gold blend. I drink mostly instant coffee, as I just don’t have the time nor patience for anything more. Out of all the instant coffees I have tasted this is the strongest most full bodied of the lot. I have been drinking coffee since I was a child and HAVE to drink at least one cup in the morning other wise I cannot face the world beyond my front door. It’s not like a shot of espresso but it does give you a good caffeine kick up the bum. It’s not the cheapest of the instant coffees but it’s also not the most expensive and I think that is good value for money. No other instants quite measure up to Nescafe Gold Blend it just tastes better!! What more can I say. If you like this but want something a little cheaper why not buy a huge jar of Nescafe Original, Gold Blend is most definitely better but that’s what you pay the extra for, Original is a good cheap alternative. (Asda also do a quite nice copy of Gold Blend) If you like coffee and haven’t tried it yet, go and buy yourself a little jar, I know everybody’s tastes are different but my guess is most coffee drinkers will enjoy Nescafe Gold Blend!!

- 24/06/01 I like Gold Blend, but I'm not too keen on the way it leaves bits floating on the top! |
