Advantages: Less caffeine, tastes the same

Disadvantages: More expensive

I drink a few cups of coffee each day, but I like it strong. This involves each cup having 2 heaped teaspoons of coffee which of course adds up to alot more than just a few cups a day! A few months ago I started to get palpitations, not just a few but lots. I decided my coffee habit was probably to blame and bought some half caff coffee.

It tastes the same as caffeinated but was more expensive. I bought a small jar and it cost me nearly £4.00 so I wasn't sure I'd keep buying it. However after a few days I noticed my palpitations had almost gone.

I know I should drink de-caff but everytime I try and switch I just crave coffee, cola, chocolate, anything with caffeine really! So I thought the half caff would be sufficient for the time being.

If you didn't know you were drinking half caff you wouldn't be able to tell, it tastes and smells exactly the same. The price put me off though so a few jars in I bought a normal jar and a jar of de-caff and mixed them half and half so I was still getting less caffeine but it wasn't costing me a fortune.

A good idea.

Summary: A great idea
