... perfect for me and my guests all comment on it's lovely flavour and inviting smell. It's easily comparable to percolator coffee and a timesaving way of having tasty, rich coffee in an instant. I have tried a lot of instant coffees when they have been on offer or in gift hampers I have received, but I always go back to my Nescafe Original as I miss it so much! I have to give Nescafe 5/5 as it is the best coffee I have ever had and I've stuck with it for over 10 years....more

Crowned Review Nescafe Original: Start your day with a cup, end it as the tazmanian devil. (977 words)

Coffee and the advancement of Man ********************************* Apparently coffee was discovered in 600AD in the Middle-East and didn’t arrive in Europe until the sixteenth century and we then introduced it to the rest of the world since at that time the British Empire ruled most of it. It is therefore no surprise to realise that most of the scientific breakthroughs that we have made as inhabitants of the planet Earth have been after the invention of “The Brew”. Caffeine stimulates the brain’s cortex, which heightens mental activity. We all know that if you have one cup too many you turn into a Tasmanian devil and suddenly ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Noscafe Original (499 words)

I have been drinking Nescafe as my general every day coffee for years, both at home and at work as it is stocked in our vending machines. Until recently when Kenco brought out the Eco Refill packs and they went on offer in Supermarkets and I switched to the Red Kenco to save money. I cant believe I have wasted years of drinking Nescafe Original paying money for something which I now realise is so bland! The coffee is one of the best selling coffees in the UK, and the Nescafe brand is widely recognised. The coffee granules are quite chunky and very dark brown in colour. As it is an instant coffee they are very crumbly, and at the end of the jar you inevitably ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nescafe Original: Nescafe? Not Any More! (319 words)

I used to drink Nescafe all the time but swapped to Kenco when my mum was pregnant because she couldn't stand the smell of any of the Nescafe coffees. Yesterday my local shop hadn't got any Kenco so I got one of the tiny 100g jars of Nescafe because I was gagging for a coffee and I remembered how much I used to love Nescafe. Well, I don't anymore! I've been spoilt by the smooth flavour of Kenco and Nescafe just tastes second best now. The granules stir easy into the boiling water and they didn't leave any black bits on the top of my drink, after I'd added the usual amount of sugar and milk I was surprised by how bitter and one ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nescafe Original is OK! (342 words)

As a structural engineer with the bottom falling out of the construction industry there has been a lot of time recently to sit around and drink teas and coffee. The brand of coffee which my office stocks is Nescafe original either in the 500g tins or the smaller jars Why does the office choose Nescafe Original? Well the reason I believe the office manager chooses to buy Nescafe original is that Nescafe have a strong tradition of producing what is generally considered to be a good coffee. The management also didn't want to be seen to be giving the staff the cheapest nastiest stuff (What would that do to office morale?) Neither did they ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nescafe Original: The Only Way To Start Your Day?? (347 words)
by - written on 23/06/09 (Very useful, 24 readings)

Nescafe, Nescafe, the only way to start the day. Well think we all remember the adverts, and to be honest Nescafe probably is the biggest instant coffee around and has been for a long time. So what's it like? Dies it deserve to be the best around? Well for me personally I'm not a big fan of Nescafe original. It says on the jar that it's 'Rich and full flavoured'. I suppose it is, but just does not taste right to me. There are other instant coffee's I prefer to this one. The taste is kind of to rough, its not smooth like other coffee's I have tried. It assaults your mouth rather than relaxing it. It's a very sharp taste that is not horrible, but ...  Read the complete review

None at all, this stuff is vile taste, aroma, consistency

An acceptable, and low cost, version of the real thing. Contains Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil

Smooth taste, Excellent aroma, An all round delicious coffee None

really nice, strong & sweet at the same time quite expensive - but worth it!

Obviously decaffeinated with only a small reduction in strength. Taste is weakened.

Generally good taste for hot chocolate You have to vigorously stir to avoid soggy chocolate residue at the bottom of the mug
