Advantages: Great taste, reasonably priced, readily available
Disadvantages: None
For instant coffee I always reach for Nescafe Original; I have tried others from those in the same price range and quality of Nescafe Original to, on occasion, the much cheaper brands but Nescafe always remains at the top of my list.
It has a full-bodied rich flavour that is second to none in an instant coffee. I love the aroma once the gold foil under the lid is first punctured and that aroma stays right until the jar is emptied.
I think Nescafe is one of the few brands of food that seems not to have been adapted, 'improved' or otherwise tampered with down the years. It seems they know their unique formula works and would rather keep their regular consumers than try and adapt it for a different market.
I like my coffee strong and black without sugar and Nescafe drunk like this is amazingly tasty and really hits the spot especially if you are looking for a 'pick-me-up' to help you concentrate on work. Equally, my family always take it with milk and sugar and enjoy it just as much as I do.
Some of the advertising over the years has been questionable, the most famous being the 'will-they, won't-they' relationship between actors Tony Head and Sharon Maugham that ran for what seemed like years and years. That series of adverts gained something of a cult following.
No matter whether the advertising is great or grim, Nescafe Original is one of the best of the instant coffees available today, reasonable priced for its quality, easy to prepare and drink and very tasty.
Summary: For a great 'hit' at any time of day
