Advantages: Reassuringly familiar and good value for money

Nescafe Original is a popular coffee product sold at all supermarkets. A 100 gram jar is £2.19 and a 500 gram tin is £9.91 at Tescos.

Compared with other coffee products, it is middle of the range in price and also quality.

Before the economy went bust, If we were buying Coffee just after payday, we bought at the top of the market such as Carte Noire or Douve Egberts. If we were broke we bought supermarket brands. Nescafe Original is the perfect middle ground.

Nescafe Original tastes good enough to offer to even the most discerning friend and it is cheaper than other coffee products. The coffee beans are a reassuringly rich colour and the coffee is held in a easy to handle glass jar.

I grew up with Nescafe Original Coffee, my mother has never bought any other brand or type of coffee and I am sure she is not alone. The jar looks and the coffee tastes reassuringly familiar and in these times of economic woes, somehow that is important.
