Advantages: Looks so yum when the bubbles come up, easy to make and tastes quite nice

Disadvantages: Not my favourite hot chocolate,

I bought this product today from Asda, I have slight sore throat and really felt like a nice hot chocolate. I was finding it hard to decide whether to get the normal hot chocolate Areo or the one with mint, I then decided I would try something new as I don't mind the mixture of chocolate and mint.

I bought the jar (288g)for £1.49 as it was on offer.

The ingredients are Fat- reduced Drinking Chocolate, (sugar, Fat-reduced cocoa powder, Sugar, Hydrogenated Vegatable oil, Glucose syrup, Lactose, Whey permeate, Salt, Flavourings, Stabilisers

It is very easy to make, bascially you just put 4 teaspoons of this powder in a mug and add hot water. It then turns and looks very bubbly and you mix it. It looks really delicious and it tastes great to begin with but then it can taste a bit strange when you drink a bit of it, hard to explain, as in the minty taste gets very slightly bitter. It is not bad but I think I would have enjoyed a plain hot chocolate.

Overall a lovely hot drink and unusual taste, on the packet it actually states it was voted product of the year by consumer survey of product innovation 2008, so perhaps my sore throat is the cause of the slightly bitter taste and I perhaps will retest when I feel better.

It contains 99 calories per 200ml serving and 2.6g fat.

Summary: It isn't that fattening and a great new taste
