Advantages: Good taste, Sensible alcohol level, doesn't get you ill

Disadvantages: none of note

Dog. Brown. Newcastle Brown Ale. Call it what you will, it's my drink of choice. None of this lager crap, Newcastle Brown is a beer made of all the right stuff; Served in pint bottles, just high enough alchohol content, just the right taste and sweetness.

There are a lot of things that make me drink Dog. One is the low quality of other beers and ales I often find - when you get a bottle of brown you're guaranteed satisfaction.

The pint bottle is like a pint bottle should be - it has a thermometer on the back to see if the beer's cold enough too (!).

The beer itself - sweet, but not too sweet, you could sit and sup it all day. Unlike many beers, you don't get the runs the day after (i know it sounds horrific, but it's true - lager [grolsch] gets me ill).

There's not much wrong with good ol' Newcastle Brown - it's well priced, just nice and doesn't get you ill.

Good beer. Very good beer.

Never drink it after Dooblin-brewed Guinness. Then it does taste much too sweet ...
