Advantages: Helps quench real thirst

Disadvantages: No real flavour and it's basically sugared water

I suffer with dehydration problems which means I drink an awful lot. Not only do I suffer with dehydration problems (due to an eating disorder) but I also suffer with kidney stones and because of that issue I have to drink (at least) two and half litres of liquid a day anyway and definitely avoid coke and grapefruit juice which are not good for stones!. It's hard work to keep drinking but fortunately it can really be any drinks 9apart from the two I mentioned) as it's simply the liquid part that's important for me.

I do try to drink healthy drinks though. Avoid coffee, my main vice is tea though lately I have converted to green tea and the likes a bit more. I find water terribly boring so as an alternative I decided to try this.

The Packaging....

Long plastic see through bottle with a light blue label around it's middle with a picture of fruits on it. In white writing on the front I'm told it's Extra Light Oasis, Summer Fruits and at at the side there is an at a glance nutritional chart. On the back I'm told it's a 'Still Low Calorie Summer fruits Juice Drink', ingredients are listed, nutritional information is given in full, I'm told it's best served chilled, that the best before date is written on the neck of the bottle, storing instructions are given, contact details for Coco Cola are given (the manufacturer of this product), the size is listed (500ml) and finally there is a bar-code on there. It's a nice bottle with plenty of information on it and it has a blue cap that screws on and off the top of the bottle easily and you can keep it from 3 days of opening if desired.

The Drink....

Well the flavours of this are apple, redcurrant, strawberry and cherry and the colour is a dark berry red colour. It smells sweet and there is a slight aroma of strawberry and cherry to it but nothing really stands out really and it's just a fruity smell. When poured it is a still drink so no bubbles and this is meant to be as good for you as drinking water!

Taste wise it's very sweet indeed and the made up juice tastes watery and not at all thick. It's simply a light juice but does contain enough flavours (though nothing distinctive). It is fruity but drinking it nothing flavour wise stands out which is a bit baffling to me. It does quench thirst and leaves no nasty after taste but whilst drinking it although I appreciate the refreshing consistency of the drink I do feel that it is lacking in a distinctive taste somewhat and I do feel it is a little too sweet and for no good reason.

Overall...

It's ok and it's healthy enough. I like the bottle as it's quite large and I like the fact it really is a thirst quencher but really think it could do with being less sweet but if you like sweet drinks then it's fine. I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase this but wouldn't avoid it either but really it is just sugary water!
