“ Manufacturer: Coca-Cola / Fruit juice „
Recently I've been trying to have less Diet Coke because it has become apparent to me I drink far, far too much of it. I figure the most successful way to achieve this is to substitute it with lots of other drinks so that I don't also create a habit with these new drinks also. One drink I have always enjoyed, and have replaced my Diet Coke drinking with is Oasis. Oasis comes in two flavours which I just call the red and the yellow colour, but they are actually summer fruits and citrus respectively. I happen to like Summer Fruits more because I like berries a lot and the fruit from concentrate within it are strawberry, cherry and redcurrant, plus apple. The colour too is very appetising, with a very rich red colour that is dark enough to suggest flavour and not too light to suggest it is mostly watered down. Oasis though a soft drink isn't necessarily a drink I would consider wholly natural either. The fruits within are concentrate like I said, and the sugar is 4.6g per 100ml. This isn't so bad when you compare it to another drink like Coca Cola however is 10.6g per 100ml. Oasis comes in a slightly different bottle to most fizzy drinks. I tend to struggle with the lid a little as it is quite wide and I only have quite small hands so its a little difficult getting the grip all the way across. Another problem is that when the seal does break a little the bottle almost collapses because it is quite a thin plastic, and so I sometimes spill some of the contents on myself. It comes in two quantities, an ordinary 500ml bottle, and a larger 1.5l bottle. The cost of the smaller bottle is between £0.80 to £1.00 and the larger is normally £1.50-£2.00. I don't normally spot the larger bottle in most stores, and have only really seen it in big supermarkets, which is a little annoying as I would probably purchase it more often if it was more widely available. I would recommend Oasis because it is a tasty, refreshing drink that is a nice alternative to the many fizzy drinks available. The taste is very thirst quenching, and I normally have to slow down my drinking as I tend to just chug it down in one go otherwise. The price is what you would expect for a drink of its size, and it is about average really, although more often than not it is more expensive than Coke in most places I have visited. It is a very light drink that is as close to squash as I can get when I'm out on the go and looking for something to drink.
Oasis Summer Fruits is a refreshing drink that can be found in most supermarkets and other smaller shops. The Oasis brand also comes in other flavours but this is based solely on the Summer Fruits flavour. Packaging Oasis drinks come in a 500ml bottles and larger sizes. I am basing this on the 500ml bottle as this is the size I usually buy. The bottle is, well, it's a bottle, there's not much more you can say. It has a slightly distinctive design to the shape of the bottle but it is hard to describe, the shape and size of the bottle doesn't stand out too much but the label does. On the front of the label you have the word 'Oasis' running vertically from bottom to top with a design of berries and a splash of the drink behind it. The body of the label is blue, there is a green strip along the top with the words 'refreshingly fruity', the writing is in white and the picture is in red making the whole label stand out on the shelf. Turning the bottle to the 'back' of the label gives you the usual information you would find with a drink product - ingredients, nutritional information, company information etc Nutrition The advertising around this drink makes it seem like it should be a refreshing, light summer drink that will quench your thirst but does the nutrition reflect this? Per 100ml there is: 18 calories 4.1g sugar 0g fat Take into account that these need to then be multiplied by 5 (the bottle is 500ml) and the calorie count is still under 100, this is good in my eyes but I am no expert. over 20g of sugar for the whole bottle seems quite high but I don't know if that is or not. It would be handy if the bottle told us if that was good or not with the traffic light system that most other products now have. Product The Summer Fruits flavour of Oasis drinks is the one I always choose when it is warm. It is true that is taste light and refreshing. After drinking it I don't find myself still thirsty. As a primarily water based drink there is no fizzyness or heaviness when drinking and no unfortunate burping after drinking like with other products. This product definitely benefits from being a fridge before consumption as it tastes better when cold. The only downside to the product is that it does seem to get warm quicker than other drinks that have been chilled so it isn't a drink you can take out of your fridge at home and have in your bag for a bit. It really needs to be drunk while still cold or put into a fridge again before drinking, making it more of a convenience drink. There isn't much else to say on a product like this. It tastes good, is in it's prime when chilled and does exactly what it should. Just don't leave it in warm temperatures for any length of time or it won't forgive you for it.
I love Oasis! I am an addictive cocacola drinker and this is the only non fizzy drink I can drink that still gives me the same refreshing feeling I get from cocacola, it probably helps that Oasis is made by the same company! The drink is best served cold and is a really great, refreshing drink to help cure hangovers. The taste is perfect because it is very sweet but not overpowering and isn't watered down, it's balanced perfectly in the middle. The only problem I have is with the bottle itself, it's quite fat so a bit odd to hold and the neck is the biggest problem. It's huge, it makes it extremely difficult and uncomfortable to sip from, especially walking along. I've managed to spill it down myself a few times because of this. Luckily on black clothing though, I'm not sure if it would stain or not on lighter clothes! Overall a really great drink and to avoid spills and annoying bottles I now purchase the larger bottles and drink it from a glass and add ice for extra refreshing taste!
Oasis was not a drink I had been particularly interested in buying, as this sort of drink doesn't usually appeal to me. My dear other half, however, had got some at half price and had stacked them up in our fridge. Feeling particularly thirsty one evening after my cycle ride back home, I tried one and I really can say I was surprised that I enjoyed it so much. These drinks come in a variety of different fruit flavours but the one she had bought was summer fruits. The bottle is made of plastic with a screw cap and usually they sell for around the £1.50 mark but my dear other half had managed to get ours for only 75p each - bargain! This actually makes a pleasant drink from my usual fizzy variety and also it has the added advantage that I am not left filled full of gas and have to expel it by some means. The drink is sweet and smooth tasting and highly refreshing. I would say that this drink is best served well chilled and straight from the fridge. I think it is also better if served with a lot of ice and I would imagine it would be a great thirst quenching drink to take in the heat of summer whilst sitting outside in your underpants with your headphones on in the back garden. The only thing I am not so keen on with this drink, is the awkward shape of the bottle. Actually, to be more specific, it's more to do with the shape of the neck - it is just far too wide and I find that if I try to drink it from the bottle rather than from a glass, I tend to find I have dribbled most of it right down my front - not a great look. I think this is a fantastic drink and probably suitable for the whole family to enjoy. It makes a nice change from the usual fizz and it's just a great all round drink - highly recommended by all of us in the headsore household.
I find that at this time of the year, the shops and cafes are usually packed and whilst up town doing some more of that dreaded Christmas shopping I find that i usually pop into greggs for a sasage roll and a cold drink. My favourite choice of drink is usually Oasis. It comes in an easy to open bottle with a twist off lid, and costs around the £1.30p mark. The bottle has Oasis written on the front in white and the particular bottle i brought was Summer Fruits and has little pictures of strawberries floating in water on the front. The bottle is 500mls and is natural flavours, and no artificial colours. Calories 44kcals. Sugars 10.3g. Fat 0.0gs. Saturates o.ogs. Salt o.2gs. Ingredients : Water, Sugar, fruit juices from concentrates, redcurrant, cherry, citric acid, natural berry flavouring, blueberry, carrot, apple, sweetners, contains a source of phenyalanine. The bottle is recyclable. Best served chilled. I loved the taste of this Summer Fruits drink, it is handy when on the move. The taste of strawberries is definitely effident, although you can taste overtones of loads of other fruits. This is a really refreshing drink, and I find it is quite adictable. Sweet and Fruity and compliments any meal. I love it. Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
After a long and busy day at university the first thing that springs to mind when arriving at the train station is a nice and refreshing drink. As an avid fizzy drinks fan I am still shocked by the fact that when in such a need for a drink they do not seem appealing to me at all. Oasis on the other hand gets my dry throat feeling all thirsty just by looking at the bottle, despite it not being a drink I would usually pick up. Oasis drinks are available in three flavours; summer fruits, citrus punch and blackcurrant apple. This review is based on the summer fruits flavour. So a bottle of oasis will usually cost around £1.50, an average price really and much similar to other bottled drinks. The drink comes is a 375 ml bottle which I think is rather strange in appearance, mainly because the size of the neck, it is overly large, perhaps two or three times larger than a bottle of coke. This does make it somewhat tricky to drink but it's not an overly large problem. The actually packaging label is very nicely designed, it's blue in colour and is decorated with a burst of brightly coloured fruits, this goes nicely with the refreshingly purple colour of the drink itself, it makes the whole drink stand out and look very appealing in the cold fridge section. The drink itself is very tasty and also very refreshing. The fruits within the summer fruits drink include apples, strawberries, blackcurrants and cherries although I couldn't distinguish individual flavours in the taste, all I know is that I like it, whatever it is. Although this is in many ways like a cordial drink, I find it tastes just a little bit stronger and it's almost as if it has a thicker consistency but I think that could just be the fact it's so sweet. To summarise, I find this a drink that is excellent for quenching thirst and as it is so sweet and fruity it is also very satisfying. The only problem I have is that once I start drinking a bottle I can't stop until its empty, it's very moreish as it leaves a very sweet taste in your mouth. In a 375 ml bottle there are 67 calories and 15.7 grams of sugar, because of the sugar content I wouldn't really advice having more than one bottle a day but it makes for a nice treat and a pleasant change from water.
Oasis - a drink that has recently been part of a fairly amusing advertising campaign but has been available, on and off, in UK shops for years. And, not being a huge fan of fizzy drinks, it is a drink which I have enjoyed for years. Oasis is a still fruit juice drink from Coca Cola. As far as I am aware it is only available in three flavours, Summer Fruits and Citrus Punch seem widely available, the Blackcurrant Apple on I have not come across yet. They are available in 500ml and 1.5 litre bottles. My favourite flavour is Summer Fruits. I find the drink refreshing and fruity, but not too sweet (and I generally only drink sugar free drinks). It leaves me nicely rehydrated without the gassy after effects of a fizzy drink. Its not an overly natural drink the majority of it is water, but it does contain fruit juices from concentrates (surprisingly only 5%) and natural fruit flavouring (and carrot flavouring somewhat bizarrely - luckily you can't taste this). Nutritionally this drink only contains 18 calories per 100ml, not bad for a full sugar drink; less good news is the sugar content - 4.1g per 100ml, this is why I'll should really go for the sugar free option. It comes in a wide neck, screw top bottle so the drink can be resealed if you can't finish it all in one go and it can be stored in the fridge for 3 days after opening (another advantage it has over fizzy drinks). The wide neck bottle can take some getting used to if you're drinking straight from the bottle, I can recommend not walking whilst drinking this! All in all this is my drink of preference when out and about, shame about the sugar content though.
Sometimes you just want to have fruity and tasty and you just want to get away from the usual fizzy drinks or just plain ol water. Bottled by atlantic industries for Coco-cola it provies a big difference to what is out there. Its a nice still drink. Oasis is a like a party in your mouth, I have to say that this is my favourite flavour and tastes very much like sainsburys own cordial Summer fruits....maybe sainsburys copied it. It can be very sugary tough due to the fruit juice in it and it can be alittle too much to drink a 500ml bottle of the stuff, if it came in cans and was more chille I think I would buy it more often. Cotrus punch does not taste as good as the summer fruits flavour, but even as good as that tastes I wouldnt buy a 6 pack of Oasis and drink it day after day, its just too much sugar Also because it comes in the 500ml bottles it is quite expensive ranging from 90p if you see it on offer in a supermarket normally to around £1.50 in those conning petrol station stores. The colour of the juice is nie to look at and makes it stand out on the shelf, the flavour is a mix of Red Currant, cherry and Strawberry although the cherry is hard to descern. The bottle is of a good and unusal design, the top is of a flowing structure, maybe the intension is so that it looks like a mirage in the desert fluttering in the distance...or perhaps im looking too much into it. The bottle lid is quite big, a bit too big for my mouth and I find that it is easy to get some down you if your not concentrating. The drink has no artificial colours or flavours, but they have aded sweeteners and sugars....why this was probably packed with some many sucrose/ fructose elements as was ! Nutritional Information (for a 250ml Serving) 45 Calories (2% of your RDA) 10.5g Sugars (12% of your RDA) 0g Saturates 0g Salts, 0g Fats
With this delightful summer weather apon us, I am finding that I am getting a real thirst throughout the afternoons. I have never been one for plain water. But as I am trying to improve my lifestyle, I have dramatically cut down my consumption of fizzy drinks. Therefore, I am delighted that this wonderful, flavoursome drink is on the market. Oasis is a product of the coca cola company. It has been around now for over ten years. It is a very popular alternative to carbonated offerings. What I love about Oasis, is the smoothness of the drink it almost has a thick consistency which really satisfies when being consumed. The summer fruits flavour in the oasis range is delightfully refreshing. It is packed full of juicy citrus and berry flavour. It has a dominant taste of berries but there is also a zingy kick as an afterthought which really steps this drink up into another dimention. This drink, in my opinion has got to be consumed when ice cold. I don't care for this drink much at all when served at room temperature. I find the flavours are dull and the sweetness somewhat overpowering. However when chilled, this drink takes on a whole new personality. Offering crisp, refreshing and juicy flavours which make for a real saisfying taste experience. The oasis drink comes in a variety of sizes. You can either have a handy 500ml bottle. Or a family sized 2 litre bottle. Both are decorated with a very pleasing label which informs consumers of the fruits within the drink. Not only is this drink pleasing to the taste, it is pleasing to the eye also. With the rich red colour of the juice, against the bright blue labelling. Oasis, really does offer that something else to the table. It is such a pleasing and satisfying drink. Unyet it is also packed full of fruit juices that are healthy. Although fruit juices are sometimes thought of as a childish alternative to pop, this drink is quite sophisticated. It is not packed full of additives and marketed within a childish package. It is a drink which is cool to be seen drinking. A drink that shows that you know quality when you see it!! and at £1 for a 500ml bottle, it also shows you can spot a bargain also.
When I am at work and I go to the shops to buy a drink, this is always my first choice. I don't like drinking water through out the day as it is tasteless, and I don't buy a bottle of coke as it doesn't last the day, it just goes flat after an hour. This oasis drink is the perfect alternative if you don't like water of don't want a fizzy drink. It is a fruity drink and this one I am reviewing is the summer fruits flavour, which is my favourite. A 500ml bottle of this usually costs nearly £1 in the supermarkets, but I work in a hospital and always get ripped off if I need to buy anything from the shop, these cost £1.20 where I work! But I don't mind paying for such a nice refreshing drink when I have to. This summer fruits drink is made up of apple, strawberry, redcurrant and cherry. This drink tastes very fruity, and for some it might be a bit too strong and sweet, but I find it just right. It is not like fruit juice you buy such as pure orange juice, it is more like a fruity cordial. It is great for when you are really thirsty, and is gorgeous served ice cold. It comes in a clear bottle so you can see the deep purple fruit juice inside. Per 100mls of this drink there are 18 calories, so if you drink the whole bottle throughout the day you are consuming 90 calories, which is probably quite a lot really for a drink. It does have added sugar and sweeteners, but you can buy a light version of this, if you are worried about the added sugar. I haven't tried the light version so I don't know whether it tastes any different. You can also get this oasis drink in a citrus version, but I have not tried this yet. This is orange in colour, and you can also get these drinks in a bigger bottle in the supermarkets. These are 1.5 litre bottles, and they cost around £1.65, which is a lot better value if you buy this drink like this, rather than the individual smaller bottles. I highly recommend this oasis summer fruits drink, it is a refreshing, fruity drink which is great for drinking throughout the day as an alternative to fizzy drinks or just plain old water!
Oasis summer fruits is one of the first drink i will reach for when I am in the shop at lunch time getting my lunch. I find that this drink has many better qualities than other drinks you can buy in shops. I think it tastes fresh and pure. It taste more like something which has been made in a kitchen rather than a carbonated drink which has been synthesized in a lab. As soon as you taste it the flavours punch you in the face with fruity goodness. An it also tastes refreshing and pure and every sip leaves you feeling very satisfied. I am also led to believe that this drink is far healthier than the normal cokes or sprites which you may pick up. It has far less sugar in it and also has far less calories which is another plus point to this drink. In terms of cost Oasis is on a level par with the carbonated drinks on the market which means it is not too expensive. My only major gripe with this drink is that you can do it yourself for alot cheaper. I find it tastes the same as if you were to take a bottle of diluting juice and make it yourself. If you done this you would be able to control how strong you would like it aswell as being a heck of a lot cheaper. Overall a good drink full of flavour even if it is expensive.
The Oasis Summer Fruits is a great tasting soft drink that's not only very thirst quenching but it also contains a lot of good added fruits. The main thing that made me want to buy this drink was its nice distinctive bottle and the fact that it contains summer fruits, was a real bonus for me. You can buy it in many small shops and leading supermarkets, but the price can vary from 79p to £1.50 for a larger bottle (1.5L). The bottle and drink sip is quite large or should I say chunky compared some other bottles out there. The colour of the drink is bright red which looks very lovely and makes me want to buy it even more. The Oasis Summer drink really is such a lovely and joyful drink that is so fruity but yet so uplifting and blissful at the same time. The nutrition per 100ml is that it contains 25kCal of calories and just 6.0g of sugar. It contains no fat, sat fat or salt. The drink can give you 25kCal of energy which is helpful whenever you're feeling low on energy. So with all that put into place I would highly recommend this drink as it certainly is a worthy buy.
Oasis- aah refreshing! This is just something I pick up of a lunch time or on the shopping trip. Since I have started to drink soft drinks instead of fizzy drinks- this has been my favourite! A Little History! Oasis is a non-carbonated bottled soft drink, which is a product of the Coca-Cola Company!! It comes from France and was added to the company in 1990. The drink is described as a "fruit juice drink - with sugar and sweeteners and radiation". Packaging This comes in a 500ml plastic bottle which is quite handy and there is just enough in there to last lunch time! On the front of the bottle on the label that is situated in the middle of the bottle there is 'Oasis' written vertically with a blue theme and an image of summer fruits! On the back there is some nutritional information and other useful information! Nutritional Information Per 100ml: 18kcal trace protein 4.2g carbohydrates 0g fat trace fibre 0g sodium Oasis Summer Fruits is basically a still summer fruits drink with added sugar and sweeteners! Price and Place This is sold for under £1.50 in supermarkets and other convenience stores. Pro's *This is sweet but not too sweet and refreshing *It gives you that little boost of energy *Re-vitalises you *Summer Fruits is the best flavour out of the range because the different combinations in fruits make this great! *It is made by Coca-Cola so you have guaranteed satisfaction or your money back! *Sold in lots of places *Not too may calories Con's *This is quite expensive for what it is *This makes my teeth go funny- makes me think this is just a drink of sugar! I would rate this product as 4/5, too much sugar but it does taste really good! ! !
Oasis Summer Fruits is a very refreshing drink that I'd recommend when you're out and about. You can buy it in supermarkets such as Tesco or Asda as well as smaller shops including Boots and WHSmith for just under £1.00 and you get a 500ml bottle. You can even get a 1.5 litre bottle for around £1.50 nowadays in larger supermarkets. The bottle is transparent and quite fat compared to other bottles (wider). It contains a bright red liquid, which is the Summer Fruits drink. The cap is blue and pretty wide, which unscrews slightly to open the bottle. There is a large label round the bottle with the white Oasis logo on a red background. The rest of the label is blue with summer fruits such as cherries floating around. The drink tastes absolutely lovely, as it's really light and fruity. It contains some sugar and sweeteners but is naturally sweet from the fruits inside too. It's best to be served chilled but it still tastes alright at room temperature. It is extremely thirst quenching too and the great bottle design and wide lip means you can have the drink quite quickly if you are really thirsty in great need of a drink! It's really refreshing and fruity too so I'd highly recommend it! Thanks for reading, Dan ©
I wanted something a bit fruity yesterday so decided upon on trying Oasis Summer fruits drink instead of a fizzy drink like Coke again, despite the fact these cost a little bit more they are healthier and won't rot my teeth. There was the summer fruits and the citrus punch flavours available both for around 97p for a 500ml bottle. The bottle is adorned with a lovely label showing off the mixture of fruits contained with in images of Cherry's, Strawberry's, Redcurrants and Apples. Rather tauntingly to be honest considering the summer us British folk seem to have ahead of us seems more like it's going to be cold wet and windy and the only summer fruits we have are the people that told us it was going to be hot and lovely. The juice is a lovely dark red colour, a blend no doubt of having a lot of Cherry, Red Currant and Strawberry together to form a natural looking juice that should be the norm for all Cherry drinks (of which there just aren't enough available). The drink is flat, despite having some natural air bubbles sitting on top of the liquid in the bottle there's no bubbles of fizz, just a calm serene looking fruity red heaven. The drink is marketed towards those wanting a healthier drink, much like Vimto, Ribena and Capri Sun and those with braces (such as my sister, who's not able to drink fizzy sugary drinks so has recently found her self on this). The shying away from going against the proper big name fizzy brands (Pepsi, Coca-Cola-who actually distribute this in the UK, 7UP etc) does give it it's own clever selling point. And means Coca-Cola aren't selling another product against it's self in the fizzy market. The flavour of the drink is a wonderfully sweet smooth fruity flavour that blends the fruits together to mean that no single flavour stands out but they all have equal standing within the drink. The added (artificial sweetners) do help give it the sweet tint but it's most certainly the fruity flavour that's in charge of the drink giving it the direction it needs. Thankfully for me the Apple flavour is subdued into the mix, but I do think that if the Cherry or Strawberry had been given a bit more oomph this could have been just a bit better. Much like the Ribenas and Vimto's of this world the drink is light in the mouth and a really thin liquid which makes it easy to drink in comparison to some of the thick gloopy sugary drinks out there that feel awkward in the mouth. The drink is also free of the nasty after taste of some cheaper drinks that always makes you realise you don't want to try them again, and thankfully the drink is flat so there's no gassy after feeling in your throat that makes you want to let rip with a loud burp. However I did find the drink to hurt my teeth directly after eating some chocolate, this was likely down to the chocolate more than the drink but still something to note. Overall a great fruit drink that's a delight to drink and deserves to be one of the pricier drinks on the soft drink market. Although (as noted below) it does contain some artificial sweetners that some may be put off by, you've also got to remember almost every soft drink has them now a days if it's a "healthy" version of a drink, another thing that some may frown upon is the number of E numbers in the drink and I feel that these aren't necessary and are over used for no great purpose. Nutritional Information (per 250ml Serving) 45 Calories (2%) 10.5g Sugars (12%) 0g Salts, Saturates and Fats The drink contains: Aspartame and Acesulfame K A source of Phenylalanine E122, E150d, E202, E211 and E452
Oasis is a range of refreshing non-carbonated fruit juice drinks with a light-hearted, grown-up attitude. It's for working twenty-somethings who know what they want out of life.
