Advantages: Yummy & refreshing

Disadvantages: The bottle neck is rather wide

After a long and busy day at university the first thing that springs to mind when arriving at the train station is a nice and refreshing drink. As an avid fizzy drinks fan I am still shocked by the fact that when in such a need for a drink they do not seem appealing to me at all. Oasis on the other hand gets my dry throat feeling all thirsty just by looking at the bottle, despite it not being a drink I would usually pick up.

Oasis drinks are available in three flavours; summer fruits, citrus punch and blackcurrant apple. This review is based on the summer fruits flavour. So a bottle of oasis will usually cost around £1.50, an average price really and much similar to other bottled drinks. The drink comes is a 375 ml bottle which I think is rather strange in appearance, mainly because the size of the neck, it is overly large, perhaps two or three times larger than a bottle of coke. This does make it somewhat tricky to drink but it's not an overly large problem.

The actually packaging label is very nicely designed, it's blue in colour and is decorated with a burst of brightly coloured fruits, this goes nicely with the refreshingly purple colour of the drink itself, it makes the whole drink stand out and look very appealing in the cold fridge section.

The drink itself is very tasty and also very refreshing. The fruits within the summer fruits drink include apples, strawberries, blackcurrants and cherries although I couldn't distinguish individual flavours in the taste, all I know is that I like it, whatever it is. Although this is in many ways like a cordial drink, I find it tastes just a little bit stronger and it's almost as if it has a thicker consistency but I think that could just be the fact it's so sweet.

To summarise, I find this a drink that is excellent for quenching thirst and as it is so sweet and fruity it is also very satisfying. The only problem I have is that once I start drinking a bottle I can't stop until its empty, it's very moreish as it leaves a very sweet taste in your mouth. In a 375 ml bottle there are 67 calories and 15.7 grams of sugar, because of the sugar content I wouldn't really advice having more than one bottle a day but it makes for a nice treat and a pleasant change from water.

Summary: Perfect and refreshing
