Advantages: Tastes amazing
Disadvantages: none
Over the years hearing all the bad things about caws milk I switched on goats milk but eventually got fed up with it as it goes off too quickly. My fridge is not the best in the world but I am not going to go spend a lot of money on a new fridge for the sake of milk.
First I switched to Soya milk for about an year. First it tasted rather bad but I got used to it. Then I reed a whole lot of conspiracys surrounding Soya milk and I knew I have to stop using it as I did not wanted to be part of any of that.
I thought myself that there must be something else out there that I can switch too again and so looking around supermarkets and keeping an eye on things I have seen OATLY milk in Tesco and I know I had to try it. And so a great love affair started.
***** What is it made from*****
This milk is made from pure oats. I love oats, that convinced me.
******Presentation******
This comes packed in one of those cardboard type of packaging, like the majority of juices. The packaging look more like it would have inside it some sort of medicinal stuff rather then tasty milk. On the back there is this strange "Ode to milk" rambling, you got to see it to believe it, I will let the surprise to you.
There are about 3 or 4 version to choose from including some chocolate type one. My favourites iare the plain ones or the calcium vitamin enriched.
*****Taste*****
After the soya milk I endured for over an year, and ended up to believe is actually quite decent taste wise, OATLY felt like milk honey dripping from heaven.
When I used to make porridge, add some butter to it and use cows milk that was my favourite taste of them all. I find this milk taste just like that on it's own. When added to porridge it just compliment the taste of it.
*****Use*****
You got to shake well the box every time before you use it, took me a while to remember doing that.
First of all I do not buy any other type of milk anymore. I use this in my coffee or tea and it never curdles. I also use it in my porridge ever morning.
The only bad points I can think of is the fact that is not easily available in all the supermarkets. I have seen it in a few health food stores but was about 50pence overpriced.
Summary: I can't go back to soy, cows or goat milk, I think they taste terrible after I tried OATLY
