Advantages: Tastes nice and is good for you

Disadvantages: Pricey, 100 cals for a 200ml serving

I'm not normally a fan of Cranberry Juice, but I found myself quite liking this drink. It's been in the fridge for a few months now, since my mother in law bought it a pack of 6 small cartons of it and drank four.

I thought my son liked them, but I got confused between that and Pmegrate, the pomegranate juice drink, which he does like. Neither my wife nor my son like this cranberry juice. However, I didn't want to waste it, and so I had one just now. I was actually surprised by how refreshing I found it. Before, whenever I have had cranberry juice, it has left me with a 'dry' sensation in my mouth, almost as if something has stripped away a surface of my teeth or coated them in something that increases friction. However, this drink didn't at all.

It uses 25% of cranberry juice, albeit from concentrate, as well as water, syrup, vitamin C and sugar. Other than that, there are no artificial colours or preservatives or anything like that, so it's not bad for you in terms of healthy drinking. This 200ml carton gives you just under 100 calories, so it's not the greatest in these terms, but it also contains something called Proanthocyanidins, which are supposedly good for your health, and provide help on acting against harmful bacteria.

All that aside, it's a good product as far as I'm concerned. I certainly liked it. A 1 litre carton of this costs just over £1 from Tesco, although I couldn't tell you how much the smaller cartons, such as the one I had, cost. Either way, I do recommend drinking this for its taste as well as the healthy nature of the drink, and the fact that there are no artificial sweeteners, flavourings and colours.

Summary: Decent fruit juice drink

Like their Cranberry original I also have this with a little shot of vodka. Its a perfect mixer drink (obviously for adults!).

I like this stuff, but as you say, it's not the healthiest.
