... example of a porter beer, with the dark coffee and chocolate aroma that it should have, you can also taste a quite definite hint of liquorice and the body is thick like motor oil but actually rich, creamy and quite rewarding despite being a little salty. The bottle is nothing special really, it uses the same style as the Okocim lager bottle (but not Palone or Mocne which are more interesting) and just darkens it, the bottle is black and opaque but it only comes in the 500ml form which means you get quite a bit more bee...more

I prefer a Pilsener style beer generally and the Okocim Porter fits into the Baltic Porter category, in a previous review I said that Zywiec Porter didn't have any competition and that's maybe because I'd never actually seen this one in the shops or pubs. I'm told that it has been exported to the UK from Poland but I'd struggle to find it in the beers homeland, so you may be hard pushed to find it.
