I was in a bit of a quandary about how to categorize this following beer ~ I have heard it described as a Barley Wine, an Old Ale, a Winter Ale AND a Porter! The brewery's web site lists it as a Porter, so I thought I would go with that. It is a strong brew that has made it onto the Moor Beer Company?s permanent list of beers ~ Old Freddy Walker. We got to try it at the Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival, held at the end of February in the Technical College in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. ~~~THE BREWERY.
