Olympia Beer, once brewed [what I feel to be] the Pacific Northwests best beer. The brewery, located in the State of Washington's capital, Olympia, is located on the Tumms River. To understand why this beer is so special you must first know the area it is brewed in.

Most of the Pacific Northwest is a temperate rain forest. 80% of the land is covered with old ever green forest made up of mainly Douglas Fir. Lots of rain and lots of fresh water flow down mountain streams. Our water is so clear and clean you would just be amazed. Well Tumm water is one of the specaial places, and Olympia's water came directly from this source.

The beer was mild, a hint of sweatness, wheaty in flavor and finished with such a flavor I cant describe how much I enjoyed it.

Then in 1999 [I think] Miller came into the picture. They purchased a great many of the pacific breweries, Olympia being one of them. Miller shoved olympia's production down to Texas, where water tastes like sewage. Thus destroying the origonal flavor to some extent.

But the Olympia name will go down in history in these parts because it was one of the best American beers to be made, and it never really made it out of our neck of the woods.
