Advantages: Cheap, tasty and low in calories

Disadvantages: You might have to buy several packs in one go!

Ohhh i just love Options hot chocolate. I felt compelled to write this review but i had to go and get a mug first. Being as i am, a greedy guts, not many diet versions of foods make it on to my 'best of..' lists, but options is one of those very few that does, and this is for why...

Packaging
~~~~~~~~
Options mini sachets come in 11g (or single serving) small rectangle shaped packets, with a light blue pattern at the top with the 'options' logo in brown, fading into the colour of the flavour of that sachet. (for example - fading into bright pink for the turkish delight flavour) These have an 'easy tear' corner for ease of use.
Options can also be brought in 220g (or 20 serving) containers, which are shaped like an hourglass with the same colourings but made from thick plastic.
Flavour
~~~~~~

Honestly, i find options hot chocolate much nicer than its diet hot chocolate counter-parts as it seems so much creamier and more chocolaty than other versions *cough* skinny cow *cough*. The powder stirs in easily but beware for a few clumps on the top of the mug.

Another pro with Options is the wide range of flavours;
- Outrageous Orange
- Belgian Choc
- Wicked White Choc
- Tempting Toffee
- Cracking Hazelnut
- Ohh La La Vanilla
- Turkish Delight
- Choca Mocha
- Caribbean Coconut
- Simply Cinnamon
- Go Bananas

As you see, there is a good deal of choice. This is the best thing about the smaller sachets. You can buy a mix of flavours you want to try then if you don't like them, you arn't left with a pot full to waste. Although, if you do like them next time you can upgrade to the 20 servings container. I believe the mini-sachets are around 40p which is good value but you do get better value from the larger containers.

My favourite is the Outragous Orange as this tastes like someone has melted and diluted a Terry's chocolate orange. All the flavours vary very slightly in calories but the median is 34 calories and i think the highest is 40. These are also low in fat, with less than 0.6g of saturates.

Overall?
~~~~~~
Options are by far my favourite low calorie hot chocolate drink. They are tasty and chocolaty enough to make you feel naughty without damaging your waistline.
Whilst they are slightly more expensive than buying in bulk, this gives you the oppertunity to pick your favourites without wasting money and powder on the larger containers. This stops you getting bored with one flavour, or when you know what you like best you can upgrade. (Although, supermarkets vary on the choice they stock in the larger containers - i am sadly yet to find anywhere to stock the orange!)
My favourite hot chocolate. IDEAL for winter.
Summary: The best low calorie hot chocolate on the market.
