Advantages: chocolatey, minty, only 40 calories per mug
Disadvantages: unless stirred often it may settle at the bottom of the mug.
Well, as this contains chocolate it is a winner for me straight away. Then add to that the fact that it is made by Options and only 40 calories per mug and it has to added flavour of mint, which is always a great friend to chocolate. What reason could you possibly give for Not liking this product.
Let's look at it in more detail.
It is made by Options, and they do a whole range of choc + *** flavours, and I haven't found one yet that I don't like, but this is my favourite by far.
It comes in a plastic tub with the familiar blue wrapper. Included this time is a green mint leaf picture too. The lid is a brown screw off type.
The tub holds 220g of the chocolate powder.
I have seen it in supermarkets at about £2.19, but I usually get it from £land or £world (for obviously £1).
(You can buy it in single serving sachets too, but they cost 29p-35p, so it is much cheaper to buy a tub.)
The chocolate powder is quite light in colour and smells appealingly minty.
The instructions are clear to follow - although I like mine a bit stronger than average so I use 4 teaspoons of the chocolate powder not 3.
Quantity of powder goes into the mug, then simply top up with boiling water.
Stir
I have found you do get lumps if you don't stir it straight away.
Pouring on the boiling water intensifies the minty aroma. There is a slight sheen to the hot chocolate.
The taste is 'wicked'. Very chocolatey and extremely minty.
Keep the spoon handy though as the chocolate does settle at the bottom, so keep stirring every so often.
It is only 40 calories per mug, so it's the perfect thing to have if you are on a diet. You certainly can't tell that it is a low cal product as it is packed with the most amazing flavour.
It tastes silky and very special. It is the treat you can have every day.
If you like ordinary hot chocolate, you'll LOVE this.
Summary: The best, most delicious hot choclate drink on the planet
